2hlf litre water
200g's lye
Let it sit, stired, rolled, shook, 3hrs.
6 naptha pulls of 300mltrs newport fluid. Starting saturday evning, ending monday morning.
froze it 24 hrs
took it out poured it off, saved the naptha.
let it sit upside down propped up 24hrs
scraped it out.

looked bloomin awesome, had it out on a glass table thinking this effing hench!

however, the chunky anaconda of white fluffy crystals only came to 3.75 g

shocked me to be honest! i guess its rather light.
the produce looks beautiful though, very nicely pure white apart from a tiny 10p size bit in the middle which was slighly red, orangey sticky.

basically all happy for a first attempt, had some replies to an earlier post, not enough lye/water for the amount of bark. so will keep all this in mind for next one.

only question would be any special advice of where to go now? thinking of doing another 3/4 pulls on the original bark. pool it then evaporate half (how long does this take with out a fan? say 1ltr of naptha?)

general thoughts! theres gotta be another 3-4 jees hiding out somewhere!

Typically with the STB's you want to do a 1:1 ratio of MHRB and lye.

You'll generally get a 1% yield, so yours wasn't too bad. Not to mention a typical dose being 20-50mg... You have quite a few travel vouchers. My only question would be if your MHRB was powdered. If so, you could have let it sit for a bit too long. I've only done three STB extractions so I'm not an expert, but I typically let mine sit for no more than 10 minutes (I put mine on the heater though so it helps the extraction process).

Not sure if you'd be able to pull any more out if you've let the base solution sit. I've read that the lye will destroy the spice after a prolonged period. The evap might take a while. I had a cup with 50mgs of heptane sit over night and it was about half the volume. I think if you could extract more, you shouldn't expect more than 1.25g out of it.

nah it wasnt powdered actually. think next time will try a little more lye water, bloody tricky finding a vessal big enough for 500jees though! thanks for the reply, got a last pull sat in the freezer now, see how it how it goes

Could I ask, how long did the process take from start to finish?

started it saturday finished it tuesday.
