Infundibulum! You promised those pictures of me would remain just between us! I'm not sure I can deal with the infamy of being the Nexus bannerboy

For 4 pages, too much fussy talk and too little photoshopping! Perhaps I will get started on something soon. I agree that the current banner is a bit pink, and I think the banner should have a very human attribute to it. The whole psychedelic experience is pretty much humanist. When you see a human face on psychedelics it's the most marvellous thing. If an artist could capture that it would be amazing.

I too think that the banner should match the style of the forum more. At the end of the day, a wee poll would be best after we get some submissions, including the current banner.

i gotta say i have always loved the banner, and the front page even more. maybe it is a little too pink, perhaps a little green in there would balance it out. i dont currently have photoshop loaded or i would try playing with it a bit.

What like the LSD face morphing video on youtube? the one where the guy goes into the bathroom at a party and looks at his face changing shape in the mirror?

I think ayahuasca as a theme would be good. Something spiritual with lush greens and browns. Perhaps also incorporating the spirit of the vine.

I'm not at all artistic or well versed with photoshop so I'll just throw that idea out there. Maybe I'll throw in an idea sketch too later.

I love the current Nexus banner, but I'm really fond of the idea of moving towards a more natural banner with an element of simplicity, warmth and light... <3

Yeah I agree, not such a big fan of the Egyptian imagery.

If there was a forum skin option with different banner and it wouldnt be much work for trav, I would be fine with it (would be fun to see more users making new banners). But I would not like to see this work for a new banner if first of all it was too much work for trav, or secondly, if it was not changed as an optional profile setting, but changed for all people and permanently. I love the current banner, def dont want it to disappear.

Forum skins sound like a great idea, but I'm not the poor guy that has to code it in the end.

Well, I know .NET and PHP and, code forgiving, it shouldn't be any trouble. but it depends on the code.
