I'm currently doing Q21's tek & the vinegar is not turning the MHRB red? I obviously don't want to proceed any further until i know for sure its done the job
Im using white vinegar/solution of aectic acid but it doesnt have any % on there.... could it be too weak?
I also used it pure in the tek 300ml vinegar : 150g MHRB, it smells like a vinegar MHRB mix, but its not anywhere near red, it's chocolate brown.
Really appreciate some help on this asap as i was hoping to add the lime soon...
Thanks in advance

I do not think it is safe to assume bark color as a good indicator of pH. If unsure use a pH paper or do a mini, small quantity extraction. You have to be in Hell to see Heaven - W. BurroughsUbu is a surreal personage. Everything he does is pure fiction. Everything he says is pure nonsense.

Litmus paper becoming red indicates a pH below 4.5, which I think is enough for a good extraction. You have to be in Hell to see Heaven - W. BurroughsUbu is a surreal personage. Everything he does is pure fiction. Everything he says is pure nonsense.
