Magicman wrote:It may be man ,as far as i can tell, Peruvian torch would be your best bet to look for in shops, but also keep an eye out in suburbia , ive found at least one psycho active cactus growing in my area and its not even desert like here , as it may be where you live? or at least closer to. suppose you could order too, maybe get some seeds and try out this Hydroponic hyper growthgood luck I'm in I-R*A~N. Peruvian torch looks very familiar to me, I may have seen it in some shop, is there any look alike? can you name a few? or a sure way of ID-ing a peruvian torch? The look alike that has screwed me over the most is Cereus jamacaru. search for my posts with pictures of it on this site. The big difference between jamacaru and peruvian torch it that torch's ribs are rounded and thick , jamacaru has thin , fin like, fans for ribs haha. also i think peruvian torch is lighter green. I've been told by another user that torch tends to have a "V" style indent above the thorns ,subtle though, and i have no experience of it. Bridgesii , in my opinion looks very similar too, but its also psychoactive, so no worry there. But im still an amateur (stuck in the nursery ) too, so maybe an expert on here could come and verify what ive said. Other than that , just look at the photos people have posted of there cactuses and get a rough idea of what it looks like , there is huge variation in what is classed as one species , so its not that strict. Hope that helps

Thank you my friend. If it's somewhere in some shop, I shall find it then. Disclaimer: All of these posts are of a fictitious nature only. the top pic is a San Pedro or Trichocereus pachanoi and the light yellow color is good. these cactus change color and produce more alkaloids when there stressed out. top pic def active! "Pay attention. And keep breathing." Terence McKenna

Dreem master tree ? do you think so ? cause i thought it may have been ,but i was told by someone (i think on this thread) that it may just be an inactive garden variety. Its strange if it is active, cause there's a bridgesii just a few metres away from it. hmm , . . coincidence? and that pedro , if it is one, is just lying there dying ! its even fallen over, well i'll have to go and ask the owner if he doesnt mind me taking it off his hands. Do you know anything about the other questions i posed: Peyote in garden shops? in-active predominant cultivars of torch ,and bridgesii?
