Has anyone ever looked into the mirror with DMT/Ayahuasca?

Tonight I drank a moderate dose of Caapi, and something compelled me to peek into the mirror. When I smoke changa, I usually cover all the mirrors in my house, so I knew it would be interesting...

I watched my face shift many times. I saw my veins. I became an old woman, a man, a woman from South America, and a jaguar. Things met my gaze through the mirror that WERE NOT ME. Without a doubt, I feel like a mirror could be used to contact spirits. Shocked

I usually have the experience of seeing into my face, seeing my blood/muscles/bones/veins, but this was the first time I had the experience of disappearing completely and seeing a foreign, sentient face stare back at me. Shocked

(It also didn't start working properly until I took off my clothes... Cool I think it was the idea of no distractions?)

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Or it's just an elegant way of being told I'm at risk for becoming the next (psychedelic) crazy cat lady. Razz

Something fun to explore, though! Very happy

Out of interest, why do you cover mirrors when smoking changa m.m.minxx?
Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.

I once looked in a mirror on aya and i saw my dead body there.
Weird to see yourself that way.

I have always instinctively felt like mirrors are not something to engage casually, and I also like the idea of falling into the moment and BEING, rather than getting hung up on "the meat car."

Last night definitely proved that mirrors can be powerful tools!

I also think I saw an episode of "Are you afraid of the dark?" when I was a kid (ugh, dating myself here...) about some scary magician attacking children and he lived inside a mirror... so one can never be too careful. Pleased

A big mirror on the floor is the centerpiece in one of the rooms where I usually journey - I sit about 2 feet away from it. I have had a lot of great insights looking into it. It's a great tool, especially when I'm trying to go inside my own head rather than hyperspace.

Covering the mirrors, thats interesting, but I can certainly understand why. I also agree that I dont like to concentrate on the body at all when smoking DMT. I prepare myself with a long hot relaxing shower, then retire to bed naked, nothing sexual, its just that I feel that it is easier for the spirit to lift me when I'm not physically encumbered by my body being bound by cloth. The general goal for me is transcending my body, and so the more comforatble my body is, the easier it is to leave behind. When coming down, I know the insanity of what will happen if I look in a mirror ( same as you see, the whole viens and flesh and skeletal reflections things happens) so I avoid it. I would rather look at trees or the sky.
