Well, I started the fumarate to freebase conversion yesterday afternoon and came back late to find jar was literally frozen (the jar was left in the refrigerator). I also noticed that there was a hard yellow layer on the top of frozen/crystallized liquid layer that I removed and placed into a separate glass (I assume that to be impurities/lemonine, am I right?). After letting the jar thaw out over night I noticed that the bottom of the jar was a cake of white hard crystals with a liquid layer on top. The excess sodium carbonate solution that was not used in the conversion was left out on the counter in a 60 degree room and it that had large crystals in it after a few hours. I think that I added too much sodium carbonate to the dissolved DMT fumarate possibly and it is that that has mainly crystallized.

I am debating as to what I should do to proceed. Maybe add hot water to the jar to dissolve the sodium carbonate crystals? Not really sure...

I'll attach photos of the Jar, the yellow 'impurities' collected, and the excess crystallized sodium carbonate that was not used in the jar.
I've been doing the BLAB TEK, here is my last post with the completed fumerate. https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=16875

maybe the yellow stuff is your dmt

wash everything with room temp water. The dmt should not dissolve, the sodium carb and polar impurities will.

dont throw anything away before you've finished the whole thing

Alright, here is what I did. I added room temperature water to the jar and then let the jar sit on the counter for a few hours. This, combined with breaking up the crystals with a scraping tool, made the sodium carbonate dissolve back into the water. The yellow stuff that I collected into the small glass is definitely the freebase, as I can now watch it precipitate in the jar. I am going to allow everything to precipitate for a few days now. Then I'll collect from the jar what I can and then give it another week or so to further precipitate. I plan on purifying the freebase after it is dried with a water wash, unless there is a better way.
