The government is violating the 4th amendment to the constitution every time you fly through a USA airport. Few people complain in a meaningful way. The fearful shivering denizens just continue to accept the illegal activity of the USA government (and many other western governments) in the name of 'safety' and allow their rights to be taken away one by one by the cleaver use of fear mongering in the mass media.
With the blessing of the government, airport officials routinely will expose you to ionizing radiation or in some of the new scanners I have been reading about to terahertz frequency electromagnetic radiation (giga hertz x 1000 which is 0.3 millimeter wavelength). You regularly cook food in your 'microwave' with frequencies in the 2.54 GHz range (122 mm wavelength) through a process called dielectric heating. How do you want your cells cooked people?
My own MD is very much against the terahertz wave devices because of cellular damage he has found can be induced at these frequencies. He also does not use mamograms for female breast cancer detection. He uses passive Infrared thermograms. I trust him. I do NOT feel protected by a government that routinely violates the laws governing its behavior.
