If one were to use a device (foot spa) similar to the one at this website in order to agitate and heat mhrb soup on the last couple of pulls ( http://www.amazon.com/gp...d_r=06R3XGHW8KK7B72Y2FY4 ) would you expect it to yield any different results? The water remains at roughly 100-115f and the agitation is fairly violent. Has anyone used a similar device in an extraction? If one were to experiment with one of these devices on the 4th or greater pull, would you speculate any difference in results?

Venting pressure from expanding gases has not seemed to be much of an issue because of the relatively mild temperature, although it is done every so often, particularly when the containers are first introduced to the heat.

Is using a contraption like this a complete waste of time, or would you expect to see different results? Would a the fair amount of agitation and slight heating provided by the device cause any further release of DMT or will it simply cause plant oils, fats and other undesirables to permeate the solvent layer?

Any results having to do with using the "virbra-tub" during extraction during extraction will be added to the thread.

Thanks in advance,

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

First notable result:

One of the containers in use in the extraction which hadn't been touched for 1-2 weeks would not fully separate. There was always some remaining "brownish tint" in the solvent layer with no noticeable clearing or multiple layers. After 4 hours of a 115f water bath and agitation from the vibrations, it completely cleared up!

I thought it would be a throwaway pull, but I think the footspa may have saved the day.

Hope this is helpful to someone,

Good stuff man.

I remember someone else sitting the jug on their subwoofer for a couple of hours.

No heat involved with that though. I'm sure the heat might have helped aid in the separation process.

Good results can be definitely had with using a subwoofer to break up emulsions / release air bubbles from the sludgy layer, but I've never had such a drastic result as what occurred with the footspa.

They can be found pretty cheaply, too. I think I found mine at Walgreens for ~20 or so.

On the 5th pull, the solvent is still coming out saturated (using the blow = cloudy test).

Maybe the agitation / heat are doing something? I wasn't expecting much from the 5th pull, to be honest.
