I think a piece of your art with some text would make a great t-shirt, olympus mom! I think your stuff really captures the mysterious style of spice visions.

Maybe an epic piece of art, with "The Next Us" in letters above or beneath it.

I know this thread won't die, but it still needs to be in the eye of the Nexian "current topics" bar! T-shirts must LIVE!

Geat ideas.

If someone can come up with a subtle symbol/text we can all agree on,
than i will let it be printed/stitched on some of my favorite clothing.

I would prefer a symbol over text, though i very much like something like the latin/greek formed by jbark, gibran and enoon.

Do we have a winner?

Virola78:
We should give our designers (Enoon, olympus mon, D_Juggz) a certain amount of time to come up with a T-shirt logo(or two or three) and then we vote on it.

Winner gets printed.

Designers you game ? How much time do you need ?
Got GVG ? Mhm. Got DMT ?

Aha. I actually meant text as in logo but I can see the advantages.

In that case I'm 100% for "see you in hyperspace" because it's just so fucking awesome. I can't even imagine how amazing this will look on a great design :wetdreams:.

Share you thoughts people so we can announce the conclusions on Friday.

Question:
Will we just distribute the image as a JPG or will someone hook up the print and tees for a fee ? If so, who ? Payment options ? Europe one guy, USA one guy ? Approximate price ?

Long live the Nexus.

no haste...? take your time pls.
The idea is not ready yet.

To my taste a logo should represent that i am a psychonaut that values a certain attitude towards life in general.
This attitude should be futher defined and molded. and agreed on... The logo should represent a vision, a movement or moto, not just a 'club'. I am not part of a club. It is more that i am part of existance. And i busy a certain attitude and lifestyle to express and live up to that. But that is just my opinion so far, and i welcome yours for more inspiration. Anyways, i think the logo should not be for nexians or fans of dmt only.

About the logo itself, only people that know its meaning 'should see it'. So it should be subtle, simple, small. I would prefer just one symbol. Like for instance the spiral in the 3 letter formation on the bottom line of the logo by jbark, gibran and enoon. To my taste something like that (but not quite) is simple, elegant and cryptic. The moleculair structure of dmt would be simple, elegant and cryptic too, but limiting to dmt only... and also any chemist could read it. The logo could have a different colour according to the different taste of different users. Some like red, some like black, some like white... Also this would depend on the colour of the clothing one puts the logo on. More or less contrast by colour would be an option open to the user.

Which brings me to the next thing. The logo should be simple enough to let it be stitched on clothing. Prints will be difficult, for me at least, because i would like to wear it on clothing i already have. If the logo is simple, it can be fairly easily be stitched by someone (i will find). If the logo is too complex, than a small stitching would be technically too difficult probably. And also the small logo would end up as a blur. So it should be simple enough to be small stitching.

I hope others like the idea of a logo that represents our vision on life. To my knowledge there is no such widely accepted logo yet.
It would be new.

Virola78: I don't think we can ever make the logo of that impact. Do you have any examples from other subcultures maybe ?
Got GVG ? Mhm. Got DMT ?

sure:

(wiki)
"In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin yang ([yin – simplified Chinese: 阴; traditional Chinese: ι™°; pinyin: yΔ«n] [yang - simplified Chinese: 阳; traditional Chinese: ι™½; pinyin: yáng] sometimes referred to in the west as yin and yang) is used to describe how polar or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. The concept lies at the origins of many branches of classical Chinese science and philosophy, as well as being a primary guideline of traditional Chinese medicine,[1] and a central principle of different forms of Chinese martial arts and exercise, such as baguazhang, taijiquan (tai chi), and qigong (Chi Kung) and of I Ching divination. Many natural dualities β€” e.g. dark and light, female and male, low and high, cold and hot β€” are thought of as manifestations of yin and yang (respectively)."

i like this fractal version:

but for the logo, it doesnt need to get popular. it is not the point.

Fair enough although do you have anything that was invented by a recent (~100 years) subculture ? I would like to see the logo but even more the vision of unity that you talk about. Like a real life example of a movement that and it's symbols which represent a private movement.

I find your idea incredible but too complex so I'm asking your for examples of this behaviour which I will use to better understand your stance.

I really like the idea of a frat logo. because its subtle.

βˆ‚µβ€  (or what ever it is, i just typed the corresponding keys)
The Next Us

that way it could come off like some cocky frat to people out of the know, and they probably wouldn't care to even ask "what frat" you are from. if they do.
"Oh, hyperspace..." Smile and nod off in the other direction
A dumbfounded look "Delta Mu Tau... Duh." And stumble off drunkenly

My idea (from a personal phrase though, so it probably wont catch at all quickly)

The Next Us
still just (our (after thought, idk if the our is needed)
Dream Mother's Twins

with the above it can be read as a spiritual phrase or words of wisdom and be passed off or taken to heart in the minds of said unknown passerbyers.

my other idea

The Dream Tea
Is in your mind!

lots to play with and im sure ill be happy with the final design.

Although i do like the idea of being able to print said material foroneself
The D M T is in your mind.

Yeah, looks/feels/sounds good to me! Can you say, get a pdf of a design, then print it on some specialmaterial, and have something like an iron on transfer?

You know I used to think that very same thing but in the last few months I have run into quite a few people who have knowledge of it especially ayahuasca. It's gotten allot more popular in the subculture these days. At Least where I live.
