Hey, this is what im planning to do for my first DMT extraction, i can't wait to get started but i am not in any rush, i want to make sure i have all my necessary equipment & procedure in place... id love to know if there's anything else i could/should be doing, here goes...

DMT Tek:

Fill 1ltr Jar with 600ml H20
Add 100g NaOH into the water over ten minutes
Allow water time to cool & clear

Add 100g powdered Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark into the H20/NaOH solution
Place lid back on & swirl contents until mixed together
Allow 24 hours for solution to release DMT

Add 250ml Naptha to solution & place jar in a warm area for 24 hours
Ocassionally swirl to mix contents
Ater 24 hours the Naptha layer should have a yellow tint

Remove saturated Naptha (w/ needle turkey baster) into 500ml jar
Put jar into the freezer for 72 hours allowing the DMT to precipitate out
Remove jar from freezer & pour off Naptha back into the H20/NaOH/MHRB solution
Do this while the jar is still cold otherwise Naptha may redissolve some crystals

Allow jar to sit at room temp & any remaining naptha to completely evaporate
Then scrape crystals!


If crystals are yellow...

Put impure DMT in a beaker
Put Naptha in another beaker (30ml per gram DMT)

Boil pot of water
Turn off heat

Add beaker of Naptha into water and allow to heat for a few minutes
Then using a pippete add just enough warm Naptha to dissolve the DMT
A layer of goo should form at the bottom
Pour off the saturated Naptha into the 500ml jar, leaving the goo behind

Slooowly evaporate naptha at room temp (i heard this makes larger crystals)

600 ml water and 100g POWDERED bark seems like an awfully thick sludge.

If i were you i'd go with 1.5L water instead, keeping everything else the same. Naphtha separation seems to occur a lot faster this way.

i have a big 2 ltr kilner jar i could use, but it has rubber seal rings which might react with the solution...
any ideas on what i could use instead of a kilner jar for mixing the solution?

Not 2 jugs, HDPE #2 is the bottle/jug type. Check on the bottom of the milk jug in your fridge, it should have HDPE and a "2" inside a triangle.

And you can squeeze them to get to the last little bit of naptha

I see, i found a laboratory supply site that sells 2ltr HDPE jugs, doesn't mention HDPE 2 though.

Will taking off the Naphtha layer in a frosty plastic jug be easy enough?
I'd imagine glass would be a lot clearer to show how much to take, or maybe i shouldn't take that much Naphtha off & just leave it for the next pull?

ive never even extracted DMT before and just looking at that makes me salivate for some reason

Cool, some good reading and some good updates:

3ltr milk bottle, 2ltr H20
Gonna up the NaOH to 125g and the MHRB to 125g
I will also add some himalayan salt into the mix to help separation
I will only use 75ml Naphtha & do multiple pulls
Before the freeze precip i will allow some naptha to evaporate
