After some succesful extractions and having the technique down I've found that I'm getting little to no results at the moment... I scored a few kgs of Acacia Acuminata bark, most of which from dying trees (and the fresh bark is now a few weeks old).
I was wondering if age has any effect on the potency? I imagine the alkaloids wouldn't just 'evapourate' but unless I've got the wrong bark (unlikely), I can't think of any reasons for my lack of success.

It does definitely, though you should still get something out of it otherwise it's probably the wrong tree. SMOKE MORE DMT, SMOKE MORE DMT NOW

I couldnt imagine a few weeks would make a difference. I have successfully exracted out of bark nearly 2 years old. THERE ARE 10 KINDS OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. THOSE THAT KNOW THE BINARY SYSTEM AND THOSE THAT DONT.

With obtusifolia the age of the tree makes a difference. The older trees seem to have a way better alk level IMO. THERE ARE 10 KINDS OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. THOSE THAT KNOW THE BINARY SYSTEM AND THOSE THAT DONT.

Sorry, I meant the age of collected bark and it possibly deteriorating in 'storage'... Also, collecting bark from dead trees, any opinions? (I managed to get quite a lot of bark from dead/dying trees, I don't know if that's anything to consider(?)).

Im having the same issues with acuminata. The majority of bark collected was from dead trees and yeilds were small.
