so heres my questions, taking into account pure products, after having mixed mimosa hostilis, sodium hydroxide and water. waiting to seperate and pulling the remaining naptha. is it ok to go straight to freeze percipitation? what is the importance of washes, just to ensure no additives remain? surley sticking to pure products would nullify the need? little bit confused about this, and my ability to obtain chemicals to do washes is questionable. any help is hugley appreciated.

If doing a STB tek you will definitely need to wash your spice. โโโโโโ
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

just to clear up, in order to perform the wash, i add sodium carbonate in the solution and wait for it to settle befor pulling the naptha? assuming the sodium carbonate sinks to the bottom?

If say you have 200ml of naptha needing cleaned you would add a pinch of sodium carbonate to 30ml of water and add that to the naptha, shake like crazy and it will separate very fast. Siphon off the clean naptha then freeze. You will see the impurities sink into the basic sodium carbonate solution.
A wash and re-x is the way to go dude.

Well surely it depends on how fine you want your product to be? if u got iron lungs and smoke alot of weed and dont mind your dmt being harsh then it's fine to smoke straight after u dried it. (personally that's how i do tings, i don't mind it, but i do know many people are pass'n'8 about washing there product) Purpose of washing/recrystalization is to get rid of any unwanted impurities in your final product and clean it up (people also get paranoid that there is remains of solvents in there product another reason to clean up)

cheers people! that explains alot. ill deffinatly keep an eye out for this stuff then, doesnt seem too complex and if i can make it any safer then it couldnt do any harm. in terms of the harsh smoke, im not too worried, stopped smoking weed but i still smoke cigarettes like a chimney; though if possible id rather not be inhaling solvents. it looks like im going to have to use newport or swan lighter fluid however, so a wash is probably in my best interest. still, your all a huge help. much thanks.

The sodium carbonate wash neutralizes any strong base left in the product. It will not purify out any fats/oils/solvent adulterants. Though theoretically lye should not vaporize at the temperatures used for DMT, I have seen people complain about severe discomfort from their spice that goes away after the wash. You may not worry about harsh smoke, but it's one of the best indicators that you're doing something in the process poorly. Vaped DMT should have almost no taste - even enhanced leaf out of a GVG will barely tickle. Also, shooting into an intense psychedelic experience, my philosophy is the more comfortable you can make it, the better. On a tek note, SWIM tried washing with sodium carbonate saturated water and by just putting the sodium carbonate straight into the naptha. She always experienced notable loss of product when using the water, and the wash worked just as well without it. Her process now: drop a pinch into the naptha, do Ms. Minxx's elf dance for a couple of minutes, pour through a coffee filter. Best of luck! PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

Always do a sodium carbonate wash! It takes maybe 5min and 4 min of that is letting it settle out. You really don't want to be inhaling NaOH so don't be lazy . The aqueous sodium carbonate wash is basic enough so that the freebase DMT doesn't migrate into it, but it will pick up left over traces of NaOH in your naptha so they can be removed. It should be around pH 11. You won't lose any yield, freebase isn't very soluble in water to start with i've done mini a/b on the wash water and found nothing in there, so I think your problem could have been either from too little sodium carbonate (most likely), or too much water. I tend to make a fairly strong solution, more than a pinch. Your wash should be about ~10% by volume of the solution.
