Finally got some extra cash to spend on some amazing medicine! I ordered from Heavenly Products and Shaman's Garden.

Mimosa hostilis - 3lb of shredded bark
Pau d’arco - 2oz of Bark 1/2 oz of Flowers
B. Caapi - 4oz of leaf
Calea Zacatechichi - 4oz of leaf also!

I plan on making the Calea and the Caapi 10x extract and then infusing the caapi to make some changa! I have done a couple extractions of the mimosa in the past with nothing but great results! Now it is time to convert to the infused herb!

I have a few questions...

Since the Pau d'arco is coming with 14g of flowers and 56g of bark, should I make it an extract of the bark onto the flowers? Or is the bark smokeable as is?

Also should I refrain from using acetone to make the extract? The only IPA I have access to is 91%, is that percentage satisfactory? What are my other alternatives? (edit: Everclear is illegal where I am from!)

Any suggestions/tips/comments are welcome!

Yes, it is the pau darco bark you want to smoke....

The bark is smoke-able as is, just grind it up. I find pau darco just gives a nice flavor. I've never noticed any extra effects from it like other herbs do.

And if you're talking about making changa with 91% IPA, that will work fine. That's what I have access to at the moment and that's what I've been using as well.

Yes 91% ipa works fine. I've even used heptane in a pinch. Pau d'arco is lovely. If you don't think it does anything try it 1:1. I've never used the flowers, just the bark.
