Anyone know if this is safe? If so, should dosages be adjusted? benzyme wrote: i'm tellin ya, one day i'll interface a mass spec and uv-vis spectrophotometer to a modular synthesizer

prob depends on the 60 year old...some 70 year old might be fine, while at the same time some 30 year old with a heart condition would be at more risk.. This is a risky question to ask this way over the internet. We dont know the individual in question..the fact that they are 60+ year old doesnt really give much to go on. Long live the unwoke.

Perhaps it just gets better with age. This is the consensus opinion of numerous SWIM's. WHOA!

why would it matter is it too speedy for the heart, or too hard on the body? I'd imagine maybe lower doses of san pedro,or bridgesii would be less peedy if that's the issue.

Hello. I am 60+ years old and still love cacus tea. I really think it depends on the health of the person and their level of experience rather than their age. A person has to be mentally prepared for a relatively long experience and in reasonably good shape.

Id say the same rules for roller coasters apply for most psychedelics. Pre-existing health conditions and such are a no no. -Close your eyes, See the light, and feel the sunshine in the shade

Psychologically, there is no reason why age would be an objection. Only on the physical side there can be issues, like having a hart-condition, etc. But that would be true for many other substances as well. You could try a small dose to see how your body responds. I would say that if you can run for five minutes without getting a heart attack, your fitness shouldn't be an issue. I don't know how it's for diabetic's or people with liver conditions, but you didn't mention any of those things.
Most of the well-known hallucinogens have only very mild physical effects, like a slightly elevated bloodpressure or vasoconstriction. The only aspect where mescaline is a bit harder to deal with than other psychedelic, is it's duration, wich is way longer than most of the other substances.

slighty off topic, but related: what medications are contra indicated? I know some old timers that would like to try this sort of thing, but they are on some meds I cant remember the names of. Maybe Corpus C. has some input? Thanks
