This literally brought a tear to my eye. You will need 2 hours to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/homeproject"In chemistry, not quite right means out and out wrong" - Alexander Shulgin

I found this documentary overall boring but not as bad. Nice photography there and stunning shots, now if only this female voice speaking could just shut up. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! Need to calculate freebase or salt percentage at a given pH? Click here!

As I said, I couldn't help but weep during this film. I fear for my children and their future. Whilst our mundane life seems casual and convenient, there is an underlying issue that begs desperately for attention and action. There is a serious underlying issue that requires addressing. Imagine a life captured through time lapse. It is easy for one to see the mistakes and imperfections during playback. however watching in real time makes it extremely difficult to see, for the destructive impact that our lifestyle and actions have on this planet, is invisible to the untrained eye. Initially, I agree. She does waffle on somewhat. However, I grew to like her narrative presentation as she reminded me of Majel Barrett, a favourite of mine in the science fiction arena! Watch the full documentary, she's speaking like this for a reason and will likely connect with an audience that shares similar values. I've watched countless documentaries that vary on this particular theme. This one in particular caught my attention primarily because it focuses on statistics and graphical evidence. I thought it worthy of sharing because there are so many ignorant (perhaps intelligent?!?) people out there that do not appreciate or who are quite happy to rape (benefit?!) from our natural resources. I'm not a member of Greenpeace before you ask!! "In chemistry, not quite right means out and out wrong" - Alexander Shulgin

I enjoyed the focus on the development of nature, but the obvious bias was slightly irritating. Not to say I don't agree with the overall stance, but it would have been more enjoyable if foreboding music and a disapproving tone hadn't accompanied all segments dedicated to the "evils" of society.

thanks for sharing! I'm only half way through, but I think that narrator does a fantastic job and the message is timely, poignant and accurate. I'm also not sure how anyone could be annoyed by this documentary unless they are coming at it from a defensive state of denial. my 2 cents.

There's plenty of beautiful, mindless HD footage to look at out there on the internet. However, in this particular case the message that she, or more appropriately the documentary, is trying to deliver is an important one...in my humble opinion.
