SWIM has been experimenting with extractions for a while and decided to try LSH. Here are exact details:

01. Powderized 50 HBWR seeds via a coffee bean grinder

02. Added the seed powder to a 16 oz. jar and covered them in pure lemon juice (not from concentrate)

03. The seeds were left to soak for twenty minutes

04. Took the seed mush and spread it out on a piece of aluminum foil to dry for approximately one hour

05. Took a 12" piece of 1/8" diameter PVC pipe and sprayed half a can of Pennzoil Starter Fluid down the pipe and into a 16 oz. jar

06. At this point, the jar had about 8 oz. of butane that was placed in the freezer until the seeds dried

07. After the seeds were fully dried, they were placed into the jar with the butane and left in the freezer for three hours

08. The jar was removed from the freezer and the seeds were spread out onto aluminum foil again to dry overnight

09. The seeds were then added to a 16 oz. jar and covered completely with grain alcohol

10. Added ten drops of peppermint oil to the jar

11. The jar was wrapped in foil and put into the freezer for three days, being shaken up vigorously periodically

12. The yellow-green liquid in the jar was poured through a strainer into a baking dish

13. The baking dish was placed in front of a fan to dry

14. Once the liquid was dried, the yellow-green film was scraped off with a razor and reconstituted with 15 mL of grain alcohol and placed in a vial

15. The vial was shaken until all the yellow-green film was broken up and completely dissolved into the alcohol

16. The vial was wrapped in aluminum foil and placed into the freezer to be used when the time came

17. The vial was removed from the freezer two days later and approximately 2 mL of the yellow-green fluid were dropped underneath the tongue, gargled and then swallowed

18. Two hours go by - nothing has happened. Another 3 mL is dropped, gargled and swallowed

19. Three hours go by - nothing has happened. The remainder of the yellow-green liquid in the vial (10 mL) is gargled and swallowed

20. The taste caused stomach discomfort for thirty minutes before fading - the alcohol was enough to burn the throat

21. Three hours go by with no result

22. SWIM falls asleep

This was being done simultaneously with 3500 morning glory seeds - they were still soaking in alcohol in the freezer. The next day SWIM figured he'd give it another shot with his second batch. Again, the yellow-green liquid was filtered and poured from the jar into a baking dish and fanned. This time, instead of waiting until the entire contents were evaporated, it was left until there was about 1 oz. of yellow-green fluid left. This was put into a capsule and the entire capsule was swished and swallowed. Like before, the yellow-green liquid caused stomach discomfort for thirty minutes or so. Two hours pass. Three. Four. SWIM falls asleep.


Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

i have little exp here, but i'll try to help

1.starting fluid is ether, cut w/ stuff. thats why the tube to seperate volatiles. 2.i know pet ether is used as a wash in lsa extractions, but not sure of the solubilities of LSx in ether.

have you tried just doing a cwe on the seeds, skipping acid, and solovent other than h2o? it is very soluable in cold water right??

so what was the purpose of using the ether?/ did you remove it, or did it evap on the seeds??

The ether (sorry about my typo calling it butane) was used as my non-polar solvent for defatting the seeds. I suppose this step can be skipped but it doesn't hurt either. I know there is no evidence to support that LSA will be converted to LSH with peppermint oil as well but at the least, SWIM should have gotten the results of dosing the same as LSA.
