Here's a nice animation made on top of the talk by psychologist philip zimbardo (the same from the really awesome stanford prision experiment), talking about how time perspective affects our life.

hope you enjoy

(and if you have any discussion related to the subject, its very welcome Smile )

Great video endlessness, I think most people here would enjoy it.

I think nowadays that "past/present/future" oriented styles can be classified more in relation with big cities / regular cities / small cities and towns and not so much in relation with the place above, on or below the equator. Also, I agree that it depends a lot in the person and his/her particular experiences. Analyzing this video, I think I'm in between the present oriented and the future oriented.

I also think that people in big cities tend to live a faster type of life because they need to improve their performance (kind of like machines) because 'the competition' is though, and if the Boss thinks they are too slow, such Boss could find a 'replacement' for that slow worker... or in another case, the consumer... could try to find a faster (and probably better) alternative a lot easier that in a small town or a not-so-big city.

Is time an illusion? I think Time is very real. Relative yes, but real nonetheless.

They need to start animating class lectures like that... it would all sink in a lot faster I think! Smile

very awesome video endless; gonna check out the other vids from this channel as well. thanks for sharing
thats crazy how Sicily doesn't have future tense words; really goes to show the impact on the perspective of reality and the behavior triggered by it.

Yea dude, great video!!!

I love stepping outside the human condition to observe all these little quirks that make us feel individual & sometimes better of worse than someone else!!
Reminds me I am just collecting information....weather consciously or not...just collecting information & using it as a constantly changing filter to view everything else through...in an attempt to collect more information!!

All posts are fictional short stories depicting the adventures of WSaged!! None of these events have actually happened and any resemblance to any real persons or incidents is totally coincidence!!!!!!!!!!!!
