I have had an intense and beautiful dream the past few weeks of extracting large amounts of DMT.

My cat ordered 3kg of potent (1.5 to 2%) powdered Mimosa Hostilis rootbark, the idea being to produce as much white DMT crystals as possible in four days. This was done using 6 x 4L HDPE2 containers filled halfway with basic water (550g lye:500g bark). I waited for all exothermic reactions to complete before adding the naphtha, which is always kept at room temperature. I found that even slightly warming the naphtha before extracting results in yellow DMT, slightly oily due to oxidation (?).

I probably used far too much naphtha for the pulls (500mL). The first pull was allowed to soak for 24 hours. The resulting naphtha was evaporated in separate pyrex dishes, each coated with a thick transparent oil. The crystallizing was taking a long time, so I placed about 80mg of old DMT into each dish of oil to speed up the process. After an hour, there were significant crystals forming which were then moved around to create even more hotspots. All DMT crystallized in four hours and was scraped up using a razor blade, weighed out to yield 25.630g of white, flaky residue.

The next pull was soaked for 36 hours and the same process was followed, but instead yielded 13g of slightly less pure (yellow) crystals. I allowed the third pull to soak for 48 hours and it resulted in 15g of waxy yellow DMT.

What is causing the DMT to become yellow as this progresses? Why can't all DMT be pulled into 500mL of naphtha in 24 hours? It doesn't seem to be saturated, since it evaporated a few cm before looking milky. It's very curious.

A few things:

When extracting at first, I would get orange waxy DMT every time. It was quite abysmal to smoke, rather harsh on the lungs. I figured out this was due to using too little water (250mL for 50g of powder in a 500mL jar) and corrected this on another 50g jar (600mL water in 1L jar), which pulled a large amount of white DMT in an hour. I also discovered that naphtha will pull some mysterious red alkaloid when the conditions are right, but it's very difficult to replicate. I haven't had it happen since I started using more water.

It's also pretty difficult to oxidize DMT using a fan. I've dried it using direct air flow overnight before and woke up to nice white residue all over the dish. Could it be that the yellow oil from naphtha is mostly likely due to something being too warm?

What's with the ridiculous amount of material and time constraints? Sounds suspect Confused

I'd like to have enough DMT to be able to give some to anyone that I come across on my way to Burning Man. I'm leaving pretty soon, so I wanted this done fast!
