I do enjoy Salvia, however find that Salvia on its own is extremely random not anything extraordinary. Also after some Salvia trips I find that I cannot make sense of the experience very well at all and have found some Salvia trips to be quite spiritually negative. Rolling eyes

Recently I tried adding 12.5% Salvia 10x in my Changa. This Changa has enough Salvia in it, so that the Salvia effects are really pronounced in the trip. It seems that smoking the Salvia with the DMT, one is able to understand and take more back from the experience than one normally would with straight Salvia. I have found the changa to be extremely emotional and frequently find myself recollecting on life during travels. I have found this to make the experience spiritually positive. Also I find that after travelling on this changa, I am left in an uplifted mood that lasts for many hours after the experience. I plan to in future try to increase the amount of Salvia in my Changa and see what the nicest ratio of DMT to Salvia is. Very happy

Overall, I find that this combination is extremely spiritual and would recommend all you Sally D lovers to try it.

Has anyone else had any experience with this combination???

My first spice enhanced leaves blend were made using salvia plain leaf.
I quite like the combo, and after different blends, which some had salvia leaf or extract some none I found the LOGOS was very present in the blend.
I use most of the time salvia in combo and plan on mixing now spice with crystal salvinorin a to see where this leads.

The problem with salvinorin and bufotenin is their much higher boiling point than that of spice.
SWIM may heat the ceramic filter of GVG like crazy to get enough salvinorin working, or use a small water bong (but he dislike smoking since vaporizing)..
All in all it's a very nice combo, and SWIM doesn't do Salvia on its own anymore.

Yeah, this is annoying. I just put the flame straight on the changa. I realise that I am losing spice this way and find that I am using anywhere from 55-65mg DMT per trip as opposed to a normal 45-50mg, however I find that the trip makes it worth it this loss of spice. Very happy

Maybe in future you should make a changa without salvia in it, fill the bowl up with changa, then sprinkle the Salvia on top of the changa. As a result the flame will not heat the spice to hot to burn.

SWIM just recently tried a Salvia + DMT combo by smoking a bowl-and-a-half of plain salvia leaf, followed by small hits of dmt in an ash/spice/caapi leaf sandwich in a pipe. The amount of salvia put him just on the brink of feeling the spinning sensation. It was his 2nd time trying this combo - the first time he used less salvia and didn't notice much of an effect.

SWIM loved the combo, and for a while during the session the visions were more 'earth-like' in a 3d sense. The downside was bad vasoconstriction, but may have been due to a cold house, no blanket, etc. I have a thread on this issue in the nursery...

I could be wrong but it seems to me that one needs to keep the flame on the salvia to get all of the salvinorin out. If I just cherry the salvia leaf, I feel like it's not hot enough to release the the active chemical. Perhaps this isn't even possible, but it seems to be my experience. However, I am willing to experiment :-)

Ireally like the combo as well and add salvia to my changa and have smoked it with 3x as well. About vasocinstriction..salvia is a potent vasodialator..there is no way salvia is going to make the combination more vasoconstrictive. It can even be used to prevent hypoxia.

Personally I find salvia alot like caapi..funny though since they are so different.

Salvia is really strange. Dabbling with low dose combos (spice and 1x leaf, heating slowly for vape then directly for sally) there was some promising results: clear and pleasant trance state for the most part.

State of Mind: Are you using a store bought or home made 10x? please post results of different ratios including your favourite Smile

fractal enchantment: Wouldn't have thought to put caapi and salvia in the same category but it is interesting that you mention it. Elaborate?

Well im not putting them in any category..but if you really know her..and yes i do mean HER literally, not the trip in general but HER, she is gentle and wise and caring..

The experiences arent alike, yet they are..both caapi and the hojas are very dreamy in they're effects..in fact both are oneirogenic IMO..they call cappi the cave..anyone that is well aquainted with low dose salvia will prob be able to testify to the cave-like inner expanse/opening effects of low dose salvia..

In my opinion both salvia and caapi can act as a cave that is set up for the torch that is DMT or other trypamines to light up..they arent the same or interchangable at all..but on some level they are like sisters..la hojas being the trickier one.

Hmmm I'm glad we can read such words of justice regarding salvia as an admixture to dmt or changa.
the caving effect makes much sense to me.

At first I didn't use harmalas with my spice and use only plain leaves of salvia. There was something very nice happening in the logos.
It's a different language than caapi (I found caapi more down to earth than salvia who like abstractions in her representation) to me but yet Salvia's spirit has the same love and care for nurturing our soul than we feel so immensely with caapi...
So much love than some poeple love this spirits back in return. I'm one of them.
When she seem to be harsh to you it's more to give you a good lesson like a loving mother would do. She really is the Mother. I think we call Mama Aya the spirit of caapi ?
If that's correct it sounds like they hold a bit some shared role in the shamanic designation...
Interesting.

A pinch of Salvia leaf in changa can produce an incredible synergy of effects...my most amazing batch of changa was with Salvia leaf...I think the DMT/caapi/Salvia ratio just really clicked in an amazing way...it was like psychedelic opium. Incredibly blissful, peaceful and prolonged experience, with a highly positive and long lasting afterglow. I suggest changa connoisseurs experiment with this combo.

Iโ€™ve never tried salvia and DMT together, but I have tried salvia shortly after a DMT experience โ€“ while still coming down. It was very much a salvia experience, but brighter, clearer, and more colorful. Also easier to remember.

I think Salvia is tried (at some point) by most people. However, due to the characteristics of the Trip, it is quickly disregarded as something that people do not want to repeat or experiment with. I was close to this mindset untill I tried Salvia in Changa.

My Salvia was brought from Just-Herbs. I have purchased 3 times from this site and the Salvia has been fairly good. However i would not recomend this site as I do not think their quality of Salvia warrents the price. Crying or very sad

I unfortunately smoked all of my changa with a close group of friends last weekend when I went camping. Rolling eyes I am currently extracting DMT, (wating for the Naphtha to evaporate) but will be ready to carry out my experiment by sometime next week hopefully.

I was thinking of experimenting with:
10% Salvia
15% Salvia
20% Salvia
25% Salvia
50% Salvia

IMO the perfect percent of Salvia to have in your changa will be betweeen the regions of 10% and 25%. (50% Salvia is purely for experimental purposes.

Also one thing to note that I plan to change is that I will not be including Salvia in my changa. Instead, the given amount of salvia to be inlcuded will be sprinkled ontop of the changa. The reason for this is that the vaporising point of Salvia A is much much higher than that of DMT. As a result the Salvia will be subject to the main heat of the flame. Consequently, you should vaporise both the Salvia A and the DMT much more efficiently. Very happy Very happy Very happy

For example if I chose to make 200mg changa with 20% Salvia I would:

1. Mix 80mg changa mix (for me Passionflower, Blue lotus and some Caapi extract) with 100mg DMT
2. Add Iso-Propyl and evaporate.
3. I would load my bong with X amount of changa. Then add (X multiplyed by 0.1)grams of Salvia ontop.

Hope that doesn't sound too complicated. Laughing Laughing

I spent a lot of money on 2 of those salvinorin alcohol tinctures a while back. turns out I could not have the experiences they said were capable with it. and the alcohol would burn the inside of my mouth. anyway i have found that they're perfect for dripping onto changa and then letting the alcohol evaporate off. really opens up the CEVs for me.

I know there's a book written about someone who does salvia and ayahuasca (caapi?) together. And the spirits are supposedly meant to be together and having been brought together for the first time. and he has some crazy experience, something like that. it sounds interesting. anyone know the name?

Never read that book but somewhere there's a reference to a curandero who uses salvia before ayahuasca sessions to 'open up the landscape'.

Sorry, due to unseen circumstances I will be unable to carry out the proposed investigation I proposed. It is a shame, however right now, I have no choice but to leave any/all of these substances alone. Confused Sad Crying or very sad

I believe that DMT and salvia is something that everyone should experiment with, because at the right proportions, I believe truly mystical and spiritual experiences can be found.

The day that I am able to actively continue my explorations of etheogens, this will be the first thread that will get my attention. Very happy

The book "Peopled Darkness" was an inspiring read on one mans salvia journeys. Does not include aya use however. Recommended.
