sorry if this has been asked many times I couldnt find anything with the search function. Swim has some caapi vine and thought it would be a good idea to make some tea with it before smoking spice but is unsure how much would be a good amount to use and would you just make it in the same way as normal tea ?

For what purpose are you making caapi tea? Just as an antidepressant, for regular mild use, or are you looking for MAO inhibition, or are you looking for a potently psychedelic brew...?

To get the most out of your vine, you will have to brew it like a traditional Ayahuasca (there are some great threads in this subforum).

Then, keep the reduced tea in a sterilized jar in your fridge. Before smoking, you can pour yourself a sip--even 5-10g of Ayahuasca can have a significant impact on a smoked experience.

At a full visionary dose of Caapi-only, I find it impossible to tilt my head to either side, let alone sit up, operate a lighter, and try to smoke. Unfortunately.

Alternately, smoking DMT on the comedown of an Ayahuasca journey is POETRY.

It will take time and effort. But if you invest these things, with a bit of sincerity, into the journey of seeking Ayahuasca, she will reward you immensely. Smile

Thanks I've just seen the other threads on this topic sorry for starting a new one!

I should have mentioned I'm looking to make this for MAO inhibition.

ms_manic_minx when you say even 5-10g of Ayahuasca can have a significant impact on a smoked experience. Does that count for caapi only tea? Ive seen 50g quoted for full does. Should I aim around 30?

It depends on you and your vine. Weak vine will need more...obviously.

30g is always a good starting dose for Caapi (full MAO inhibition). Too much and you will wish you were dead...seriously, it's grueling. Start slow and see how your body feels. The great thing with Caapi is that you can stack your doses. I always brew for 2/person just in case it's weak or someone want to "run up the side of a volcano, screaming at the top of his lungs, to greet god". There is no tolerance buildup, no time frame you have to follow, drink it, sip it, chug it.

Also you can get powdered Caapi, which I have taken frequently as a Toss-and-Wash (toss the powder on tongue and wash it down w/a drink)

And yes, even small amounts of Caapi will change the experience (usually for the better imho)

Changa, which is traditionally shredded Caapi leaf enhanced with DMT, is also slightly different from a pure DMT voyage.

Except, when I finally decide to stand up and start running, I usually get dizzy and stumble and barely make it to the washroom by virtue of grabbing doorknobs and railings... ahhh... Caapi. None quite like her. Pleased
