Hey so my bubbler had a cracked bowl and it was impossible to smoke anything with it because the airways were not sealed anymore. It took a lot of force to pull a flame down over an herb.

I fixed the bowl part by cracking off most of it, leaving a little bit to wrap tin foil around. Yes, I know tin foil is not a great thing to be smoking with, but I tested it with a flame and it did not darken or produce any smoke or vapors. No smell, nothing. I figure this is relatively safe for a week or two before I get something better.

Please tell me if you think this bubbler is going to work, and if it might even work well. I'm excited because it looks good to me and I can now pull air through easily without having to take a deep breath. SWIM was having trouble with the spice because it took a whole breath to just get it started... he kept wasting spice because of this.

There are 4 or 5 screens in the foil assembly. I feel I have room for about 2 or 3 more, along with a bit of herb.

Generally when you have trouble with the process of inhaling through a pipe, or bong, it means it is time for a serious cleaning. Pathways are obviously obstructed and hot water with soap while shaking vigorously seems to work well enough.

As you stated, tin foil isn't a great thing to be using, even if there are no visible signs of it being effected.

I see no reason why it should not work. You seem to have done a good job with a band-aid for your bubbler. My only suggestion would be to buy a cheap replacement after a week tops of usage. Perhaps just a basic spoon pipe until you can afford/gain enough time in your schedule to get a better quality one?

I do plan on getting something better within a week. Perhaps a GVG. Is it worth it?

Never used one personally, but the GVG is routinely lauded around here as a top-tier piece of equipment.

If you're feeling a little more low-budget, you might find a nice pipe or bubbler on Etsy.

So it does work, extremely well, I can vape without an issue except its really tough for me to hold the smoke. Does using water in my bubbler lead to condensation of DMT after its cooled by the water (especially since DMT is not soluble in water)? I've been using without water, and its harder to hold the hits.

Do the hits need to be taken extremely close together or is there a 2 minute window?

Dont burn foil, can cause alzimhers, sorry i cant spell it, ALZIMHERS? sorry again.

If there was any loss due to water being in the bong, it will be very small, hardly noticable.

With regards to the hits, you take the first hit, hold for 20sec or so, exhale and take another rip and so on. I dont believe in the two minute window stuff, what i do believe though is that when smoking freebase you want to get as much in as soon as possible. So dont be taking a rip every say 5 mins, that wont get you very far unless you are very sensitive to spice.

So I cant get the bubbler to vape all the spice at once, its too slow, so by the time its vaporizing my lungs are full and I have to exhale.

At which time the rest of the dmt vaporizes out of the pipe and I lose most of it. Fuck. Time for gvg I think.......
