So after a period of much integration, I decided to rework my approach to spice with the suggested consideration as a growing relationship.

Quick anecdote on the spice: After my first extraction, I refroze all the naptha just to double check everything crystallized. In that second pull, I got a small amount of spice. Maybe 100mg. During the time, I loaded my small glass pipe because I was going to smoke this as a test run. It got put to the side, and now this bowl has been sitting for a month waiting for me. Today I felt the call. (I wanted to add this because these crystals were mostly N,N-DMT by now, sitting out exposed for so long).

I had meditated and did some yoga this morning so I was feeling really good in my head-space. After a small breakfast, I felt the call that I had been denying all morning. I meditated some more and decided to slowly approach this bowl. After one rip, I could already feel the cool crystal vapor entering my lungs, along with it's steel exhale. I could feel it working already. Quickly, I took another rip. Now I was on my way! I knew that unless I ripped it pretty good one more time I wouldn't breakthrough. But I decided to stay in the in-between. Even in the in-between everything was turning into everything else. Closed eye I could see the elves reaching out for me to come into jimjam land. I waved at them but said not today. And continued to watch this perfect, highly reflective, liquid object morph and dance.

I continued into my mediation as the effects wore off; surprised at the information gathered from such a small exposure. I only burnt maybe 1/3 of the bowl.

You should make some changa. An maoi makes it so you can slowly go to the point just before you breakthrough maintain that or go further and breakthrough. Its much gentler than trying to blast off from the get go. Also you can take a tiny hit to start off with just to remove the pretrip anxiety. Honestly after trying changa I may never go back to straight spice(well never say never). So order up some caapi leaves and give it a go. Keep us posted Very happy

After taking both smoking spice as well as consuming ayahuasca, I have to say I definitely prefer to be shot out of the canon, although I thought it would be the other way around. I thought for sure I would prefer the slow come-up with more time to integrate that part of the experience, but I have a certain fondness for that sheer rush, and I feel like I have a tendency to panic more as I slowly notice everything creeping up on me.
