otherwise indeed you guys are right and he shouldnt wash mesc acetate with IPA / acetone as it will dissolve it

Yes, precisely - I salted with HCl. Sorry for the confusion.

The final product I am left with looks sort of like vanilla ice cream. IPA washes did not get rid of whatever was giving it that consistency.

about your 'creamy product', can you wash it with 99% acetone ?
oily consistency makes me think there is something else in there... from the limo? from the cactus?

you said there was tried a STB lye tek. maybe next time the STB lime tek?
really it is sooo easy once you have a bit of equipment and the right chemicals.

And it really doesnt matter much if you only have the 'predominant cultivator san pedro' as Coatl` once called them.
In these cuttings (25-30cm tops) grown for volume, there is still more than enough mescaline to see what it is about.

Indeed, this is how one should see..

That consistancy is certainly from carried over limonene. I have had this issue a few times from being too ambitious in recovering all the salting solution.

Not saying you (still) are, but one should not be ambitious when recovering the salting solution Confused
It is no problem if some of the salting solution can not be completely separated from the NP, you wont lose any significant ammount of mescaline because of this. Just add new acid solution to the NP for another salting. If you do three saltings, then almost all of the mescaline (that you can salt) will be out of the NP.

Again, by being careful when recovering the salting solution you are not yielding more mescaline!
The priority should always be not to get any NP in your evaporation dish !!

Seriously.. be safe. Especially when using NP like xylene, get a seperatory funnel!
500ml sep funnel will do fine for mesc extractions.

Oh, without a doubt. Luckily, I was working with limo.

Mesc extractions were my first and it was very hard to throw any goodies away. Cutting it close is never worth it, especially due to saturation levels on the later pulls, as you mentioned.

^ interesting to know about those pc

still havent got scales. and i have eyeballed a few dosis..
but i still got about a gram of mesc left

safe to say that with 'normal extraction skills' (ahum) one is still able to get a fairly decent amount of magic from
5 of those pc cuttings (25-30cm, tops). from the notes i can see there was about 70g of dried green flesh without skin.
