I have a quick question in regards to the mescaline cleaning method here:

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=10118

Is he saying that you filter off the acetone/water mix and evaporate it to yield mescaline, or is the precipitate that comes out at the bottom mescaline?

You evap the liquids to get the mescaline and discard the precipitates.

It works a treat too Smile

Precips are contaminants. (or goodies depending on your stance)

It's a bit confusing because my friend tried it and what's described as a 'clear layer' of liquid is dark yellow, and a fine grey/white powder appears at the bottom of the jar. If a simple acetone wash helps gets rid of the containments, won't all the containments dissolve with the mescaline into the acetone/water mix?

If you look at phlux's mescaline on his thread you can see it's already pretty clean of most oils and gunk, probably through mek/acetone/IPA washes etc. This is just a final touch which gets something extra out of the mix.

Thanks, I'll tell my friend about this!

Also, another quick question: how many pulls should my friend be doing? He's done over 12 pulls with a certain batch and keeps getting stuff out, although it's getting browner and browner as he goes. Is it safe to assume he's no longer getting mescaline out, but other dirty stuff that has no value? What's the recommended number of pulls?

It can take a good few pulls to get all the mesc out as it's a bit water soluble.
