I've been doing a grain alcohol soak on a bunch of different herbs including caapi leaves, calea, and some chacruna.

i want to use glycerin for the tinctures as the grain alcohol makes a nasty tincture by itself.

should I evaporate down the grain soaked herbs then scrape the remainder to mix with glycerin?

or just reduce the volume of alcohol

and do a 50 50 grain glycerin blend?

any thoughts?

the stuff has been soaking for almost 3 weeks

I'd prefer mixing the ethanol and the glycerine since the two mix well.
Glycerine by itself solves hardly any lipophilic (fatty) material afaik.
