They definitely meant cannabis not DMT. Hence the bong with the pot leaf and glass pot pipes. Not many people even know what DMT is.
It was definitely funny, the onion is great.

They meant the typical cannabis smoker who also smokes JWH, Salvia, DMT, and eats mushrooms etc. I think they were trying to aim at the classic teen in the shroomery forum than listens to Terence McKenna and has books about entheogens. I did not find the video that funny though, it was interesting to see and analyze however. I think this video shows more or less how the popularity of neo-shamanism is rising in North America.
