I think you are being too casual and not realizing the life transforming and extreme reality-shatering potential of DMT, which is dangerous both for yourself and for others to whom you might pass your attitude to. Just so my reinforce my recommendation, I strongly suggest you read the health and safety section

ahah guys, you take what I say too 'strictly' ? I know DMT is not like dreaming! I'm sorry if my poor english brings to misunderstanding quite often, but I find it hard to put into words my foggy thoughts about these extremely complicated matters.
you know, someone (quoting Jung) said such experiences can be seen as the unconscious outpouring into the consciousness?
Well if I got that right, there's a theory about dreams which says almost the same thing. Unconscious merging with the consciousness and voilà, here is the nonsense. (now you can say we're not conscious when we dream, but we are in a way... otherwise we wouldnt experience anything at all)

^it's nothing like that. I dont feel like DMT has to do with my subconscious..it's distinct to DMT, psilocin and ayahuasca what happens when I take DMT..and it feels 100% real..and its nothing like dreaming. Long live the unwoke.

I had about 100 very positive experiences with DMT prior to my first "put it on the shelf" experience; I even told people it was "friendly", since those experiences, however different, were all very magical and lovely. It was very friendly and magical those first dozens of times, but then one time I partook, just the same as every other time, and I got "BAMMED". It was like being hit with a sneak attack in the back of a head with a 4 by 4 block of wood, when I thought I was surrounded by friends. Like "HA! YOU TOLD PEOPLE I'M FRIENDLY". I'm glad for it though, I went to Google to figure out what happened the next day and that landed me at the Nexus (I accidentally burned some of the Spice). So there's one bad experience...I do hope you'll take into account the good advice fractal enchantment and endlessness along with everyone else have provided. Like you I find Jung's models/maps of the Unconscious/Conscious very useful, but Hyperspace/the Unconscious/the Mystery is POWERFUL. Beware.. 'til now, I've introduced 4 people to the Spice, and 2 of them are now extracting themself (ahh, finally! =D ). I'll introduce 4 guys at the same time one of this days. I think the important is to know them, know they've done a previous work, they're "explorators", as I call them. They have to be curious, in a pure way, to convince me to give them. Is a responsability, and 'til now everybody, except one, had blissful and enlighting experiences. Bad, bad english

If they are curious and understand that it will all be over in a few minutes or hours (if using oral) thats all they need to know. Of course the person should be mentally stable and previous experience with psychedelics also helps. I dont entirely agree with this. As far as what to expect from the trip itself, then yes, dont try to explain anything. Chances are you will just scare the shit out of them or they will think youre insane. The sensations they may encounter should be explained as a warning. The vibrations, the tingling, the pounding. Let them know its all normal and to not be scared, just close your eyes and pay attention.

Let them know its all normal and to not be scared, just close your eyes and pay attention. I would have to agree here. If SWIM had not read tons of material on DMT then he would have gone to the hospital and ruined his life. Instead, thanks to to the literature he knew that dying was normal?... anyways. I think that the ethical standpoint of the subject of telling people about DMT is fine, supplying them is well a different story. I think that that person that is introduced to it, should go out, find it themselves, discuss about it, read about it, understand what they are doing, and take the big step just like many of us did. I don't think that just giving someone this stuff really does the trick, sure they may get a nice experience (or bad) but I don't know if thats whats its all about. I think its about going out with questions to what DMT is and what life is about, those deep down questions we have inside of us, and coming back with answers. If they complain that you wont give them any, you can tell them, "DMT is inside your brain, you most likely use it every night when you sleep, and if your are unwilling to learn now on your own, how will you learn when DMT is forcing information into your head?"

DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

[quote=redguard]Is it the pre-trip anxiety that scares you, or is it the trips you get that scare you? I get a lot of pre trip anxiety at times but once i'm immersed into the experience fear isn't really taken into consideration.[quote]
The pre-trip anxiety. I've only had positive experiences with this substance, which had made me want to share it with people. I've definitely decided to stop sharing with people until I know more about it, maybe even til I've had a bad experience with it, too. Someone said that you shouldn't share experiences like these without being prepared to be with them 100% of the way while they freak out. I think that is a really good policy, and until I've had a bad experience, there is no way I can really be prepared to help someone else through theirs.
