Has anyone heard of an 5-MeO-n,n,a,TMT? 5-MeO-n,n,DMT and 5-MeO-AMT are both known and potent psychedelics. I understand that the alpha methyl group can protect the amine group from MAO and therefore increase the potency of a substance however I also understand that it isn't as simple as "sticking on an alpha methyl group always increases the potency". There would be interactions between the alpha methyl and the n,n-dimethyl groups which may in fact lead to an increase or drop in potency. The molecule I am proposing is on pubchem as CID58946 but I have never seen any literature written about any testing it has undergone or its effects.

Here is a quick sketch I did illustrating the structure of the proposed compound. I would be grateful for any feedback from anyone who has any information about this compound or knows why Shulgin left this compound out in favour of some more obscure substituted tryptamines.

Have I posted this in the wrong forum? When I made this post I was only a new member so I could not post it elsewhere. If a mod feels this post is in the inappropriate forum could they please move it to the general DMT or even Philosophy/Spirituality/Science section.

Many thanks

Hey mate,

I moved the thread as per your request. I think the section "Other Psychoactives" is the one who suits this topic the best. By the way, welcome as a full member! It is certainly deserved! Smile

When it comes to the question you are posing, I have absolutely no idea. My gut feeling is, however, that Shulgin didn't follow up on this analogue because it is inactive. Too bad the "ask Dr. Shulgin" service is taken down.
