Is there a website up for THE JUREMA WAY? I can't seem to find one. If not, I'd be more than willing to help get one up... -- K "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

I'm so glad you all haven't forgotten about this! Alpha- what I was thinking was that The Entheogen Way (or whatever we'll call it) would have a website, and it would host all the plant-specific 'Ways' (or a better name for a worldview if we can think of one), for economy mainly but also to make things easier. Alas I know little about website-procuring at the moment, but this is something I want to learn! I would like to organise this one day because it's something very close to my heart but at the moment I've been bogged down with more worldly stuff. Sorry for the delay. First though, we need a name for the umbrella faith. Is it possible to buy websites anonomously, etc? I am concerned that if SWIM or someone else bought an actual website he/she may get unwanted attention. Do secret clubs even have websites? At the moment the Nexus is a good meeting place for us, perhaps even a better one than our own forum because it's god to hear opposing views. Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! End tribal genocide: www.survival-international.org Quick petitions for meaningful change: www.avaaz.org/en/ End prohibition: www.leap.cc www.tdpf.org.uk And "Feeling Good" by David D.Burns MD is a very useful book.

This reminds me of when Joe Rogan says something along the lines of "Smoke DMT and join my cult mother fuckers!"........ ...
Anything posted on here is relayed fables from a friend of a friend who does not own a computer. Since SWIM cannot type these up himself, I reiterate his fictional ramblings word for word to be a nice guy.

Have a look at page 1- someone has said that already, first post. I would like you to think about what you just said. Have a proper read and then ask yourself these questions. How much similarity is there really between us and Jo Rogan? Why is it that you don't compare Santo Daime or the UDV to Joe Rogan? Why does being religiously inspired by DMT warrant comparison to a foul mouthed ignorant American celebrity? (Should you be widening your frame of reference?) Why compare us to a cult with all the derogatory connotations that come with the word? We are not making light of DMT like people complain your Joe Rogan guy does (a guy who those outside of the US haven't even heard of), and we are most certainly not trying to con people out of money or control them so we are not a cult. We are trying to do something positive here. I don't see anything positive in what you just said. I think your comment says more about you than it does about us. Not cool. Not even original. Boo! Peace and love though Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! I just had to bump this thread After a beautiful jurema journey earlier..first time with spice in the last month. I feel so clean, soo wonderful!..everything is light..love and light! I I have been hearing about DMT from others alot lately..and it seems they just want to party and get fucked up, hallucinate as hard as possible...I am real apprehensive about smoking with others now becasue of this. But everyone here is so wonderful and really appreciates just how beautiful DMT is..it's like cleaning the soul..undressing the soul and letting it's inner jewels shine..sparkiling it's way into 5D conciouness. DMT is soo special. And the people here who undertand that are so special. I love this jurema way thing more than ever now..because I feel it is my way..it is our way..I think it's important that we represent the spice and it's higher conciousness inducing effects on us with pride and with a ton of respect.. I am not into religous cults, but I dont think that is what ohayoco has in mind here at all. I dont really know where I am going with this, sort of rambling..but I just dont want to let this thing drift away...I feel like I want to represent the Jurema spirit with all my heart and love now becasue I feel DMT can truely bring peace and love to us all..yeah I know a bit hippyish maybe but thats how I feel at the moment! I want to be able to make this experience available to people who I think will really appreciate it like all of us have, and not abuse it. I want the love to grow! I think this Jurema way thing is a good way to go about it becasue it makes us look credible and unites like a family instead of just a bunch of tryptamine smokers..Of course names and lables aren't important but it's nice to be a part of something that seems genuine and built out of love and has the potential to help insuch a time of need. So ya, yay Jurema Way! Long live the unwoke.

PerPLexED would like to join, but believes that there should only be positivity. Quote:-"Do as you will when it harms no other" is our ethical code. This focuses on not doing said bad thing. Instead of focusing on doing said good things. If anything, rival(to the public onry) religions can arise and as said somewehre along this thread Quote: War. Wow. Now it realy is a religion "We are the analogies we believe." - PerPLexED
PerPLexED is a confused fictional creature. He doesn't know that he is fictional. He doesn't know what fiction is. He doesn't know anything, really. But strives to know it all.

fractal enchantment wrote:I just dont want to let this thing drift away So ya, yay Jurema Way! The Jurema Way will never drift away! Perplexed- I see what you mean, and you do have a point. People will do good things, and should be encouraged to do good things, but this statement is a law, and laws exist to set out minimum standards which should not be crossed ("Thou shalt not kill" being a Christian example). Perhaps we could have other sayings too, ones that are not laws but aims, or mottos. "Freedom and kindness" would be my personal one. I just don't like the thought of telling people how to help others and so vilifying people who do not want to make the world better in the conventional ways, like the Western habit of judging a hermit badly for being 'unsociable', for example. No-one asked to be born, so they should be free to choose their destiny as long as they do not impinge the freedom of others. The code is intended to encourage a higher degree of tolerance, and to not place unrealistic demands on people, as some religions do, which can lead to hypocrisy, unhappiness and bitterness. I'd say the phrase is not actually negative, but acieves harmony by balancing positive with negative. "Do as you will" is a positive invitation to be free, while "when it harms no other" is a 'negative' necessary restraint to protect the freedom of others. Or alternatively, you could see "Do as you will" as the negative when a person has ill-intentions, and as such the "when it harms no other" is the positive enforcement of the rights of others. Either way, a negative and a positive, enabling harmony for all, that is the intention. I actually got the phrase from modern wicca, but changed the wording into plain English from "An it harm none, do thy will". Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! I will take a card, please. But... I like drinking, too. Oral DMT is a valid experience, why must that be limited "to health reasons"? (Well, Caapi tea works wonders on depression...)
This makes me angry that I still have to "legitimize" or "apologize" for actions I consciously choose, behind the veil of religion. I guess that's my disagreement with religion in general. Religion = beating spirituality to death with rules. Can I just be peacefully left to live in peace? Drunk driving is a problem. Me lighting candles and drinking tea and being kind to people... is not a problem. I think "right living" evolves naturally when people are in open, conscious communication with all other sentient organisms (plants, animals, insects, the earth). When you experience everything as a part of yourself, it only makes sense to love and respect EVERYTHING to the highest degree. OH WELL, I always lost points in high school for not "showing my work" in math class.
Don't we all sort of have an entire code of religion here already, maybe? The origins of shamanic DMT use? The wiki of techs, formal safety code, etc.? The fact that we don't discuss selling, EVER, is a pretty huge boost to the sincerity factor. We are all pretty loosely organized anyway. So, my suggestion would be, to comb the Nexus for everything it is worth. I bet there's enough already present that we MIGHT be able to fit into some kind of religious code, rather than reinventing the wheel. Everything we need is already around us... including... us... Some things will come easy, some will be a test

Ms Manix- I think you were picking up on an old comment there, the certificate says that a member chooses the method or methods of ingestion that call to them. So all methods are permitted, if that is what works for you. There's all sorts of ideas in this thread, but the only stuff that is concrete is what's on the certificate and in the first post. The rest is personal choice. Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! Sorry, my antennae are dirty. CHEERS! (There's really no equivalent of "cheers" to smoking something, is there? There should be.) Some things will come easy, some will be a test

Hey y'all... (tumbleweeds rolling down the virtual street) So, no posts here in well over a year. Did this idea die? Religious freedom is not the worst of the possible avenues to legitimacy. At least, it is one that should be looked at alongside a bevy of other paths. Despite the many positive & negative connotations of the word religion, anyone who has broken through with DMT will be hard pressed to find a more appropriate term for the experience than religious. And, no offense to other religions... but there a paltry few religious sacraments or rituals that even come within a parsec of actually being able to deliver any kind of divine experience the way entheogens can. It is sad that the genuine, intelligent, beautiful & otherwise upstanding people who love DMT must feel like criminals. Who gave any government the right to control what plants, minerals & substances are acceptable for our use? As far as I know, there has never been a public vote before the implementation of any so-called "drug" prohibition. If enough courageous people decided to make an issue out of it, and used clever publicity and lobbying... The Jurema Way (or something like it) could conceivably navigate the path to religious exemption. (Though the idea that an endogenous chemical could be prohibited is ludicrous to begin with.) So, is the Jurema way defunct? "Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Thanks for bumping this Hyperspace Fool! Probably quite late but I’m definitely in! I know a while back people tried to get Jedi registered as a religion by putting it down under Religious beliefs on various census’ around the world. Unfortunately it was deemed “not specified” by the powers that be. Whats interesting is that if it did work there would have been more Jedi’s in New Zealand than Buddhists or Hindus. I’m putting down “The Jurema Way” as my religion on the census coming up here, just because Sonorous fractal manifestastions, birthing golden vibrations, that echo through folds of space & time, ferry my soul closer to God
