I am absolutely NOT trying to be a douche here but it seems like along with a few other members, I have accidentally stumbled onto a "No-no". I'm sure none of us were intentionally trying to offend the community....we were simply unaware of the stigmata of the RC aspect.

Please bear in mind that it was not so long ago that our beloved N,N DMT was available as a RC.

That being said I feel it will be helpful to post a sticky warning or something in the "Other Psychoactives" section...or wherever it is felt best serving.....These recent posts will be easily seen for a while but I'm sure there will otherwise always be a wave of individuals which are just new and don't know that it is frowned upon.

Maybe I missed something...maybe I didn't...I tried to see if there was something that *should* have informed me of this protocol but I didn't see anything....

Again I'm not trying to start anything over it, I just think that if that is the viewpoint of this forum then make it known and I'm sure you will see a lot less of it.

Once again I apologize for my indiscretion, I meant no harm....But I was unaware until someone told me....and others will undoubtedly make the same mistake.

Admin...you may delete this post after a decision is made either way, but I think it would help.

Thank you.

Here is a list of rules for the suppliers section:

* Suppliers cannot advertise any of their products or themselves. This section is meant for members to exchange their experiences with vendors and nothing more.
* Suppliers cannot advertise any of their pro... ah well, you prolly get the drift.. no advertising!

Any form of advertising (even if it only smells like it) will be bluntly removed or changed into something silly without warning.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Maybe even something in the supplier section....this is all that is said specifically.

Here's the issue as I see it. This is forum pretty much the central hub for certain things which makes it the primary target for sellers in this genera. Now a smart spammer will create 2 accounts build up a few posts and ask a question about a supplier or product and then reply to his own post from the second account giving a positive opinion or review. It's a basic tactic of stealth spamming. It's used to spam a community in a manner that does not look like spam as many people react negatively to direct spamming. It's not feesable in most markets only in those where the advertising will be seen by a large percentage of your customer base.

To detect this and other strategies that suppliers use to advertise a forum moderator must use his judgement. There's a reason why they do this. It's to protect the viewers from false postings making false claims. Unless you blatantly spam they arent going to ban you so if they delete your thread really it's not a big deal just accept it and maybe post your question in a different manner.

Vovin: Well, we have the nursery for that, among other reasons. As a new member will not be able to post in the Suppliers section before we are convinced that the person has something good to offer the community, an advertiser would have to convince us with two or more accounts. This makes it less easy to accomplish, but we do of course look out for that kind of tactics nonetheless.

Now, the question this thread was about was RC suppliers. We do have some unwritten rules in here that most seem to follow, but of course it would be easier for new members if the rules were written down. I have added a small text about the illegality of RC suppliers to The Traveler's sticky in the Suppliers section, hopefully new members will take a look at it. I hope this solves the issue here, please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day,
Evening Glory

That's really all I was getting at is that it should be stated openly somewhere...Thank you.
