I do want to convince others of my own reality. But if you just accept my view I honestly have 0 respect for you. I do not take offense when someone disagrees with me as I disagree with 90% of people it would be foolish for me to be so biased to think I am always right. That's not to say I wont defend my view as that is my role in a debate and I do not see anything on the net as a argument but a debate. Even if I know I am wrong I will still defend my point of view solely for the intellectual growth I attain from others responses. Basic debate 101. Always defend your perspective until it cannot be defended.
A creative debate will result in both parties learning a great deal about the inverse view to their own. Debating and dis agreement is the most valuable tool to learning. Do not compromise your nature to fit others but it is wise to use good terminology as you must take into account that human body language and tones cannot be transmitted over text and as a result it is easy to misinterpret what someone else has written.
Those who get offended by someone disagreeing with them, provided that the disagreement follows a logical form, are those who have little confidence in their ability to defend their idea. They lack faith in themselves and as a result they use alterior tactics to defend instead of intellect and knowledge of the topic.
If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.
