I recently took a few weeks off from smoking. When I came back in, I was blown away with one of the most intense experiences ive ever had. I went right back for another and was equally blown away. After this, I went back to smoking every day or every other day for the next week and not once did I have one of those incredible trips.

I have smoked a lot of dmt over the past few months. Could a tolerance still be there after a few weeks of no smoking, or had i built up such a tolerance that it was quick to come back? The strange thing about these trips is that they last much longer, 20-30 min sometimes.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I was under the impression it was not possible to develop a tolerance to spice - but I have no science to back that statement up. Any takers?

There's no tolerance, strassman did a dose/response tolerance study where participants were dosed with .4mg/kg IV three or four times in a row, once every 30 minutes. No tolerance was developed. Now, if you stop and think about this, figure this is a breakthrough every 30 minutes, with a half hour to comedown as much as a half hour at that dose permits, figure you're back, but not quite at baseline, and then you breakthrough again. Wash, rinse, repeat. No tolerance was ever noticed in this experiment and people actually reported returning to their prior trip spots and being able to go deeper or continue interactions with entities more or less where they had left off.

The details of the experiment are in The Spirit Molecule, which I uploaded here: https://dmt-nexus.me/for....aspx?g=posts&t=9346 you should check it out (as poor a source as it is for some things, Strassman did do some interesting studies and has the procedures/results well documented).

I dont buy this no tolerance. That may be true initially, as i can remember continuous breakthroughs one after another, all completely remarkable, in the beginning. Im talking about prolonged exposure to the spice. What if these subjects were administered this dose regimen daily, for weeks or months, would a tolerance materialize? Obviously this would be unsafe and a bad idea. I was smoking too much, almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day. My trips slowly changed into hard to follow experiences with little to zero interaction and minimal visuals. I was overusing for a number of reasons, but i have stopped completely and will take at least a month off.

Has anyone else experienced this?
