for some time in my life, specially when I was reading about synchronicities, there seemed to be a lot of them happening.. I wouldnt say now is a time with particularly high amount of them anymore, though, probably as a good example of perceptive filtering (before I was reading a lot about it and unconsciously was looking for them so of course I saw them more), or maybe its just that the 'Cosmic Coincidence Control Center pays more attention to those that pay more attention to it' Very happy

but yeah, honestly, it doesnt matter to me, life goes on, daily duties still have to get done. If something big happens, let it be, if not, then not. Better not depend on some hypothetical future event, or get trapped in some messianic/doomsday mindset, but rather try to make things happen by our own hands and be open to whatever happens.

I dont have time for a full reply but all i basically want to add to this thread is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHTuD2xEGRU what do you think?
Sir Terrence McKenna: "and what is real: is you, and your friends, and your associations, your highs, your orgasms your hopes your plans your fears... and were told. no. we're unimportant, we're peripherial. get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that. and then your a player, (but) you dont even want to play that game? (well) you want to re-claim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers: who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash thats being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. ¿where is that at?"

"But now technology throws a curve. and the curve is that we live so long, that we figure out what a scam this is. we figure out that what your supposed to work for isn't worth having, we figure out that our politicians are buffoons, we figure out that professional scientists are reputation building gravitating weasels. we discover that all organizations are corrupted by ambition. we figure. it. out... and as you come to see that you are alienated you realise that culture is not your friend."

Synchronicities and co-incidences only happen when you look for them. Our brains love patterns and love latching on to them. No surprise then when our brains occasionally (or often if we dispose ourselves) lay patterns over otherwise disparate events.

One of my co-workers got a call the other day. When he hung up, he expressed his wonder and bafflement - it was his girlfriend and he had JUST been thinking of her. They were in synchronicity!

Being the rationalist killjoy that I amLaughing , I asked him how many times a day he thinks of her; he said many, perhaps 30 or 40; that being at least twice per waking hour (not excluding the time he is actually with her), she could have called almost anytime and he would have had the same reaction of bewilderment!

I sure know how to ruin someone'say, huh?

Seek and ye shall synchronize! Just my canadian 2 cents worth.

JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

Things are certainly getting interesting, 2012 or not. Almost everybody in my entourage (myself included) are going through major life changes, for the better.

The last 2 years have been an amazing wild ride for me. Big lessons had to be earned. And I certainly feel intuitively that something is coming.

Now for the rational part of it:

Im in the business of removing/adding filters in one's subconscious. I think its correct to say we all perceive the same reality by our filters.

With the same reality you can have a lot of different perceptions.

But are you ever filter-free ?

Thinking that nothing will happen, or doom will happen are just different filters. Both can blind you from whats really happening.

[Rational mode off]

To be honest I think the ''filter/nlp/conscious-subconscious/mind model'' model is a bit archaic. After working with it extensively and trying to see the whole picture it seems apparent that a big piece of the puzzle is missing. Some people are quick to dismiss everything as being from the subconscious.

But after what Ive seen and been through, it seems obvious to me that there is also a spiritual dimension which is influencing us a lot.

Having an open mind is important. Sure don't stop paying your bills, planning for your future, etc. etc. but also consider that a big change might be happening. Then whether something happens or not you'll be prepared and well.

I AM.

This is a time of great changes. Well it's the age of aquarius kicking in hard these days. I felt some time ago I was about to explode. Too much going on in my head and my life and time running out. I was stressed out and exhausted, scared and just a bit fuckt.
Today I'm through that. I'm mostly calm and I don't worry much for the future. I sometimes feel the world's going mad but my way to deal with that is with prayer and meditation. And I quit smoking cannabis. It was draining me and fucking up my thoughts so making my life a mess.

I try my best to keep my life simple. Just enjoy nature and the company of my friends and family and then I ask God for a chance to work for him and do good things. Help those out that need help and try to ease suffering when ever I get the chance. That way it's easier for me to forget my problems and it just feels right. We need to stick together through these times.
Life is crazy, but life is good. Just play for the good team and you will be ok.

Well, Shamanism was a big part of Mayan culture, they sought and they synchronized their lives with the sun and the universe. Take a look at their sun disc, and their tzolk'in calendar. I've received alot of understanding from venturing with psychedelic compounds, knowing that they had thousands of years to develop their understanding would it not be fair to think that they had some truth and experience behind creating their methodical spiritual measuring tools.
