I dont understand whats sooo great about LSD in comparison to psilocin. I really liked LSD, only took it 3 times and had 1 incredible day with it..but still psilocin opened me up in ways I never thought possible, changed the way I saw society and culture and taught me how to love people. I used to take it alot and was surrounded by a community of others that were taking the mushrooms and they all seemed to be completey tuned in with the stuff.

The only reason I can see LSD being more "for the masses" than psilocin, is that it is active at such a low dose. But I would rather have psilocin. LSD is special..but still I love psilocin more. Mushrooms are completely sustainable..they grow practically everywhere, and anyone can grow them at home as well..and they dont take years like other entheogens..you can grow many many doses in a short ammount of time.

I think DMT and psilocin are the best psychedelics I could possibly hope for.

Lets avoid synth talk here as well so the thread can remain open..

I have to agree here. I've taken LSD many times in the past, of varying and questionable qualities, sure, but mushroom trips were always more profound for me. And the fact that they are sustainable and much easier to produce than LSD makes them that much better, IMO.

I have to side on lucy's team here. If given a choice between LSD and mushrooms for SWIM it'd be acid hands down every time. I like mushies, but as someone else said, they are like a rollercoaster you can't get off of at times. I've thrown up several times on mushies, and they taste nasty according to SWIM. I've had some great insights on them as well, but nothing comes anywhere even close to the amazing heights that LSD has shown me Razz

agreed

LSD bores me.
probably did it too much

it certainly impacted me, but I got bored of driving, metaphorically-speaking.
i don't drive on psilocin or DMT, i take a back seat.

Good luck finding phosphorus oxycloride or even diethylamine. Good luck trying to synthesize the latter ones in the kitchen as well.

that one's not too bad, but the product would need to be redistilled to separate it from ethylamine and triethylamine.
POCl3 would be nasty to work with outside a fume hood

in my opinion they are two completely different pairs of shoes.. lsd is a psychomimetic whilst psilocin is a hallucinogen. you need to take quite a lot of lsd to actually experience any hallucinogenic effects like you do on a relatively low dose of mushrooms. lsd is more like that essence you feel just after the peak of mushrooms. it doesnt constrain you to a sitting or lying position like mushrooms do. its more of an out and about thing. although it can also take you very deep. lsd just gives you mental and physical power.. its not a teacher. it doesnt take you by the hand. it just gives power to do whatever you want its up to you with lsd whether you lie down and meditate to let your ego dissolve or if you just want to have a fun time out in nature. mushrooms are real teachers. they don't like to be disrespected and they do tend to direct the experience in a certain direction. like maharadji says.. lsd gives power. thats all it does. its good medicine in my opinion. but it doesn't connect to the same mothership. just another tool in the alchemists toolshed. and quite a beautifully crafted one.. on the other hand.. have you ever taken 500 micrograms of lsd in one hit? maybe this will alter the way you think about how far you can get with it. i have had dmtlike breakthrus on it.. and i even think that with training it might even be possible to trigger the production of dmt in the brain whilst being on lsd if you get aquainted with the mechanism.. lsd has taught me to stand in the snow naked for over 4 hours without catching a cold. it has lead me to my white inner heat.. its great for meditating or doing tai chi or other forms of martial arts.

thank you albert! i hope your reincarnation was a pleasant one.

tbh, i think that LSD shouldn't be for the masses. I don't think that psychadelics should be easy to get and should only be approached in a spiritual manner. I have taken acid for fun before but one particular experience gave me a connection with the universe that would be impossible to recreate. I think psychadelics and IN PARTICULAR LSD AND DMT should be kept for those who approach them in a sensible manner. Might sound arrogant but keep marijuana for the masses, not LSD.

so who determines this? who is the gatekeeper? You? It's certainly not me. No, all of these substances are for whoever seek them out and approach them with respect and responsibility. Perhaps if the masses were better educated/weren't bombarded with false propaganda they would approach these substances with more respect. Your line doesn't sound arrogant, it sounds poorly thought out. If the masses were properly educated, and approached these substances with respect, you would have no qualms, according to your own post. So clearly the problem is not with the masses themselves, but with the misinformation the masses have been fed.
