Thanks for that link! In my enthusiasm for the idea that popped into my head of exploring sea life for DMT I failed to understand that it takes more than doing a STB on anything one wants to test...and now I understand that its got to be people like the chemistry smart people here who have the capability to do lab testing on any extracted matter. I don't know why I thought it might be as simple as just extracting and smoking to test whats in it....lol....duh...I guess I'm just glad I asked here before I tried that.

I like to smoke mice and rabbits, but I draw the line at vaping slimy fish. Thats gross.

An interesting idea on some level, but I would not destroy another being with a central nervous system on purpose. I don't even eat meat; I can't imagine extracting something from another creature, particularly if it led to harm.
