What do you guys think about this? It sucks to police these videos but they sure don't promote respect. Or maybe they do in reverse?

Ye I've flagged this video before, I think this is the third time I've seen it, I'm sure a few members here have flagged too.

I would encourage all members to send angry PM's to all YouTube posters, in addition to flagging their videos. Perhaps if it's explained to them repeatedly enough that their dumbass videos are likely to be the cause of future prohibition of source materials (and hence no more spice for them and their backwards shitbrained friends), then maybe we can make a dent in the problem. In any case, it can't hurt.

That video with Jim Carrey that comes on after is pretty interesting.

Its a relaxing setting for the guy and when he comes out he says he would definitly do it again. Saying the vibe is bad and caused by bad music is a total assumption/opinion. I've listened to music that is incredibly fast paced and screams a lot while I'm sleeping.

He seems very relaxed on that couch in my opinion. All it shows is a bong with a little vap coming out of it; I don't think this is a terrible video at all. But, I am only one opinion. Maybe someone will agree with me to a point.

I agree with you steely, I don't see why we should flag Youtube videos... everyone is free to express themselves as they want.
No one "owns" the DMT (or any psychedelic), so everyone has the right to show how they relate with the substances.

The reason these videos should be flagged and the poster PM'd is because eventually as more and more people think its cool to post these it could very well start to degrade into a situation much like that of salvia.. I.E. Kids smoking dmt and posting their retarded videos on the internet and attracting unwanted negative attention.. which could in-turn play a part in the materials becoming illegal just like how salvia is now becoming illegal in more places.

I don't see the point of having someone record the trip unless its so that i could see my reactions and talk about it immediately after.. in hopes of recollecting more, better.

It just seems a lot like the salvia videos. I don't want to hassle the guy, I think everyone should be able to do what they like, I just don't really see a good reason for that video to be up, not that I'm one to decide whats allowed.

Just thought I'd bring some discussion about the youtube videos, it seems the forum is fairly divided about it.

It's nowhere near as bad as a video could be, and I regret that I didn't watch the end before posting.

Push come to shove, I say, let the guy do what he wants. Those who wish to respect will respect. There will always be people who will think its cool to post videos. There are a lot of great videos of people talking about their experience which I think are good. It's always good to have more information than not, whatever the opinion. These salvia-esque videos are a bit of a bummer though imo.

I gotta side with the thumbs down crowd. Not that I am suddenly an elitist; I think anyone who wants to do it should be allowed the opportunity. I just don't want the attention of the authorities drawn to it. We all saw what happened to salvia.....granted DMT is already illegal, but the Drug Warriors are currently concerned with other things, and I'd like to keep it that way. I sent the poster of the video a freindly message saying as such, too.

Videos like this cast a negative light upon uses of DMT and will only lead to the plant source materials being more heavily regulated and controlled. It's what happened when a lot of people uploaded their salvia trips... It's disrespectful and a little selfish imo... I don't personally want to have an even harder time then I already do of getting ahold of MHRB because floods of people uploaded videos of themselves laying comatose on a couch. It doesn't convey what DMT is about at all...

I'm not saying people don't have the right of freedom of speech and communicating their experiences with this wonderful substance, but they certainly need to go about a better way of doing this then posting some video of them getting fsck'd up on a very visible site like youtube.. A video of yourself during the peak of the trip is never going to convey the magic, beauty and wonder of an insightful trip so what does it really achieve...
