1. VM&P is varnish makers and painters naptha, used as a dilutent, paint thinner etc etc
2. Light naptha is what you need, heavy naptha often leaves harmfull residue after evaporation Light naphtha is the fraction boiling between 30°C and 90°C and consists of molecules with 5-6 carbon atoms. Heavy naphtha boils between 90°C and 200°C and consists of molecules with 6-12 carbons. So obviosly the lower BP is prefereable when you are evaping.
3.I wouldnt worry about buying it online, Highquality light naptha is everywhere. Some lighter fluid and some fuels, read labels I personally find " Colemans camping fuel" to be the best and incidentally cheapest. A good practise with any solvent is the evap it on a mirror or piece of glass, if it leaves a residue or crust on the glass, no matter how small I wouldnt use it.
4. CAS-nr means the CAS number is not registered.I would check out the nearest home depot, canadian tire or something of that sort first, since naptha is so cheap, shop around try to fine the best
Hope that I helped.
