One of the things the psychedelic experience can open us up to is, that humanity and nature should go hand in hand. That we are in a way connected. This conectedness demands a consequence. This consequence is partnership culture. What does it mean? It means to help one another and to be non competitive. To see in other humas beeings with dignity.

What we see in mainstream culture is, that people have a worth attached to them. That its ok to use other people to higher your "worth".

We surely want to achieve certain goals in live. At least our ego wants that. It's fine. But we should not forget that every second we are in tune with the informational flow of LIFE itself, ever moment we notice ourselves beeing in touch with the divine is a success and the ahievement of a life goal.

Therefore, a non judgemental attitude is necessary. If a beeing is in touch with the world, you have to give dignity. Beeing in touch with the world does not mean to reproduce cultural values like using people for your own gain or spreading your own agenda by force. It means to access the tubes of life, the informational superhighway were our live patterrns are able to flow freely..where we can open ourselves up to the possibility that we are BEAUTIFUL!

It always amazes me how people change at the Nexus. How they quickly turn from norm reproducting robots, to human beeings with a real perspective. But it's getting harder it seems. At least in the chatroom, there are lots of problematic things going on. The overall tone is often agressive ...even by oldtimers.

I think its a sign, that the integrative capacitys of the nexus are drained. I too have made negative experiences, with people asking me stuff and turning away after getting or not getting the answer they were looking for.

What they don't see is that the Nexus is different, that it strives to establish a true partnership culture. That it's not another forum but utopia made in progress.
But that means that we all have to calm down and remind ourselves of the huger treasure we have to keep: Love.

Thank you for this thread my friend, while reading your words they brought tears to my eyes. We all should be compassionate towards each other as we are all apart of one another. Compassion is the key, I have a deep level of respect and compassion for all Nexus members as we are an entheogen family, community and a really special one at that.

This is often described as having a co-operative rather than a competitive culture.

I have read that co-operative behaviour is evolutionarily, socially and individually more beneficial. I read that in a book on evolutionary psychology. We evolved as tribal people, needing each other's help for survival. Sometimes this courtesy only seems to extend to members of your own tribe, but not always.

Unfortunately, it seems that the larger a society becomes, the more removed people become from their fellow man, and this alienation brings exploitation. One can exploit and then retreat into the anonymity of the crowd and move on to exploit others, whereas in a tribal situation everyone would hear about your evil deeds and your reputation would be ruined so no-one would trust you any more. Also, in a larger society people do not face the consequences of their actions so much. A tribal chief in the Amazon sleeps in a hammock next to his people, whereas a Western king or capitalist is surrounded by a protective bubble of opulence in the circles of the ruling elite.

We must do all we can to re-inject the values of co-operation in our societies. I believe they are just as relevent and beneficial to a large society as to a small.

So beautifully said my friend... I think that people of society have become disconnected from one another as well as our earth. Even loved ones and family members are put away when they grow old... Instead of being looked after within the tribe or community. The state of society makes me greatly heartsore.

Thank you everyone for this thread. We do have something amazing going on here, and pains seem to accompany growth. No doubt we will make it through stronger.

Its part of human nature to be both cooperative with each other and competitive with each other. Psychedelics can encourage either or depending on how they are used. Some cultures used them for warfare others for peace and companionship.

I dont spend as much time on here as i'd like.My posts are few and infrequent. At the moment my time seems to be spent elsewhere. But when i do manage to browse the topics and read all of your posts, and take a moment to ponder your insights,it really does resonate within me.

This nexus has one great partnership. It gets us all thinking and discussing important aspects of not just our own lives, but everyones as a community.

The more it spreads, far and wide,it becomes the greatest achievement we could possibly wish for.

peace and love people Very happy
