So swims's swim found some jwh0-018 and wanted to test out the effects. Swims been a cannabis user for years now, and wanted to see if the jwh would come close to the effects of good ol' MJ.

Swim started off very slow, started with a few mg's, and slowly bumped it up. The effects did resemble a slight MJ stone, but with somehting missing. Maybe the feeling in the chest after a some strong mj is smoked. Hes not sure and cant really decide whats missing. After a few more attempts, swim still preferred MJ.

The effects were what seemed to be mild at best. Until...

A week later swim figured he'd throw some in a joint with mj. Figuring the effects would combine and produce a more pronounced stone or a longer one. Anyway it was a bad idea. He didn't weigh it this time figuring it would be the same as before. Swim feels dumb he didn't weigh it out, and is embarrassed writing this now.

After maybe 15- 30 mins of the normal mj effects, swim began to feel off. He couldn't see straight, or focus on the tv, He felt nauseous, time was distorted and slowed to a crawl.
At this point the anxiety started to set in. Swim got sick, and hacked a few times.

Swims body still feels the aches from wretching so hard. There were a few neutral effects which swim couldn't even focus on at all. There was a sense of an inward motion, which swim cant really explain, but it was very interesting.

All in all, swim learned not to mess with this stuff anymore.

Im sorry to hear you didnt enjoy it.

SWIM still prefers good old sticky icky cannabis over JWH-018, but he actually does enjoy it a lot.

YMMV i guess...

thanks for the report.

Seven,

Wow, sorry to hear about this. I keep hearing stories about difficult experiences with jwh-o18 when people go up to about the 35 mg range. This has not been the case for me, though I do get hopelessly couchlocked, but I am a stoner who's been consuming cannabinoids for about 25 years now. I think unless one has truly phenomenal cannabis tolerance one is at risk for an easy OD with jwh-018. It is active in the 1-2 mg range and it comes on slower than cannabis, both smoked and eaten in my experience. Also, doses do stack very nicely indeed.

IMO, this is something that is clearly not for everyone, is being smoked (and not eaten) too much and must be approached very carefully; low doses with lots of time (over an hour) between each . . .

Regardless, glad to hear you are okay & thanks for sharing your experience.

Peace & Love,

be very very careful with this stuff. actually if you have access to the real thing skip it completly. the scientist that first made the stuff (his initials are JWH) said in a recent article that the more research he does on these compounds, the more convinced he is that they are HIGHLY carcinogenic. i don't have time to google the article right now, but will when i get home from work (if someone doesn't beat me to it anyways...hint, hint)

Little off topic (sorry) but I smoked cannabis for about 15 years, normally no more that 1 j a day, then outta the blue I started having alota trouble breathing when I would get high. Any of you had that happen or know what would cause this? I used to smoke cigs but had been quit for years when this started happening.

On topic, I used JWH a few times and enjoyed it, but that was years ago. I never had any negative side effects but I liked MJ better.

This started happening to me 10 years into my cannabis use and it caused me to quit and haven't looked back. I still suffer from barely being able to breathe about half the time. It SUCKS. No idea why...I obviously did some kind of damage with the disgusting herb people are growing nowadays.

I have not. The reason is because every time I have ever gone to a doctor, they have been baffled and clueless as to why I am feeling the way that I do. I could go on and on and on about this. I have no faith what-so-ever in "doctors" nor do I trust them. I'd rather just live like this and hope for the best than waste my time and money seeing some idiot who'll just sit there and wonder.
Sorry if that's harsh, but it's how I feel due to what I've experienced. cheers.

I've been using the JWH compounds daily over 2 months. I thought I had built up a good tolerance to it. I began to get lazy, and much less cautious. I over-dosed, today, felt like I was going to puke, even tried to. My body temperature rose dramatically. My vision was blurry and lights were overly bright; paranoia was extreme; when I closed my eyes I would lose the feeling of my body and become incredibly nauseous. When I opened my eyes, the sun was too bright, but it made me feel better. I had an incredible body buzz. I was so glad that the effects subsided over 30-45 minutes. I was pretty shaken up by it. I fell asleep 2-3 hours after the over-dose and woke up all hazy and dreamy-headed.

Yeah, I was very embarrassed by it. I like to consider myself responsible, etc. I was being very stupid, didn't weigh anything, or doubt myself. One really should be cautious, all the time. When one doesn't, bad things easily happen. It wasn't like I never knew I could overdose. I was purposefully choosing to be careless, by not being careful.

Very sorry to hear that Seven! Sad

I too have had a hellride with JWH series. It was on a trip, easier than bringing weed along, and decided to smoke some in my tiny travelers pipe. Now this was in a mix of herbs that I made as to try and make sure I don't OD on the almost immeasurable dose of 1-2mg. Anyways.... was kinda irresponsible and loaded up the pipe too much. Within 10 minutes of smoking I couldn't stand straight anymore and had to immediately lie down on a bed. Time stopped, my heart felt like it was beating 200+ b/m and my skin felt like it was electrified. The only thing I could say was "help...me.." to my buddies..... Luckly one of my friends knew first aid and made sure my pulse wasn't that high, but all the same it threw me for a loop. All the lights in the room turned into eyes....It was a very sad day and has caused anxiety since then. I even stopped smoking the real thing because I was scared of something re-occurring like that. To this day I still have "flashbacks" that feel exactly like I was on the bed.... And that was my hellride on JWH.....

I have no experience with JWH's but i get the impression that people get overpowered by it because they expect just a little buzz.
Cannabis can be a powerfull psychedelic if taken in large amounts.
I can imagine that a cannabis trip can become realy unpleasant once you start having thoughts like: "oh this is too much, i can't take it".
Just as with other psychedelic's, usualy the fear subsides when you just start going with the flow instead of fighting it.

Some people realy don't like large amounts of the stuff. It's effects on the mind, perception of time and perception of the body can be extremely powerfull. You can even have aural halucinations if you take realy large amounts.
Cannabis as a hallucinogenic can be on the same level as LSD.
Not as much visually but certainly in other fields, like i mentioned.

I quit the stuff about 4 years ago, since i find it is also addictive and numbing, if taken too regularly.
Besides..for psychedelic experiences, shrooms, ayahuasca, DMT and cacti, still offer experiences that are superiour to cannabis trips.

The issue with JWH is that it is far stronger than what some people think and as a result they can take too much easily. You also need to know your brands as they will vary in effect and intensity. I have tried K2 and I felt like I would if I smoked weed. It was pretty much exactly like it. But as with anything it may effect people diffrently. For me at least the effects do come on much slower than Mary Jane so it is easy to think that you need to smoke more and wind up getting suprised. It's not better than MJ and it's definately not cheaper. It is a good alternative for those who cannot smoke MJ because of probation or drug screens etc..

at ~$60 a g, j-dub has way more bang for the buck than pot, considering it has about 3-4x the potency. a g is 500-1000 doses.

the difference is in the receptor binding affinities; cannabis has different qualities to it, more mild.

Get some from the head shop and try it after that buy it online. You can get it for half the price that the head shop charges. If your going to smoke it regularly you will save a small fortune doing this. Just have to be sure and order before you run out or your gonna pay a hefty price.

That sounds pretty gnarly, Seven. My few experiences with JWH have been pretty damn intense, I wouldn't say OD status, but I certainly found myself wondering if my homies were plotting on me, which soon subsided after talking some sense into myself. I'd rather just smoke some high quality herb, if you want to have a psychedelic cannabis experience, just eat a good amount of baked treats.
