Ok I can really get into this thread I have literally pages upon pages of one line quotes that I jotted down during or immediately after my journeys. The primary issue with them is they are so primal 'at least to me' that they may not be comprehensible to anyone else. I'll post a few tho.
On this altar we sacrifice our future to a dead god to fulfill our fantasy. The illusion gives us relief in the cold dark of the night. For we fear to take the sword and lead ourselves.
Interpretation- This referrs to mankinds need to believe in a god and a afterlife to sustain their hope of immortality and happiness when the resources and science is not far off from enabling the human race to attain this goal now. Should we all commit the resources and energy into attaining it I have no doubt the billions of people could quite effectively extend the human lifespan to many hundereds of years. Possibly indefinately. Instead we rely on a magical being to give it to us.
We project that which we hate the mirror shows. What we see in the early morn gives shame to cast forth in prejudice throughout the day.
Interpretation- Prejudism is a result of projection of inadequacies we see in ourselves upon others.
Ripped and torn the gods we adore, our logical minds cut thru their ethereal form.
Interpretation- Just a description of how logic and science has dispelled religious beliefs.
The rest I'll let you interpret yourselves:
What comes of the treasures of the hard life. What joy brings of these treasure but burden? when the shell of this place comes to shatter what gives you the treasure for another joyous day? Would it be all that they have to see the sun rise yet again a new dawn on the battered burden of a life forgotten to slavery of thy wealth. What comes to you then when you shuffle off this mortal coil? Would your treasures give you the splendor of a new day? Let loose I say and bask in the dewy meadows of this day and forget that which was but is not today. When the shadows call your name you will see the wisdom in these words.
we are blinded by the primal desire to unfetter the serpent of pleasure. The ravaging of innocence to fulfill a primal desire that compells us with a single minded fury of energy.
the past is nothing more than a vivid dream and in the void dreams fade....
Envision a place where matter cannot. Envision a place where there is no thought. In a place where there is no light in the void of night. Fear no the worries of tomorrow. Dont dwell on the pains of yesterday's sorrow. Listen to the void with baited breath. Wait till it comes like your ultimate death. The peace of thoughtless life is here. For in nothing there is nothing to fear. Clear your thoughts worries and needs. Let your memories slowly receed. Listen to nothing and listen well. The voice will call to you and you will see. That eternal wisdom lies within thee.
Someday when we are all wiser we will see the folly of our lives.
yea who toil and slave only to wind up in a shallow grave.
You have sold your lives to the company store.
A lifetime of work and struggles awarded by a granite slab.
What will come of our labors when our flesh has rotted and turned to dust.
The scorpion stings the venom flows.
Memories fade like a trimmed rose.
When the shadows call and the sands of time run dry will you have made your mark on the face of eternity?
Or will you fade... lost in the void of the infinite.
from naught we have come unto naught we return.
The divine pranksters joke has gone too far.
Man the mad hatter has created a circus of organized madness.
Fear not that dreamless slumber. A greater peace you shall not find.
If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.
