So guys, I am looking for something healing to work with.

I see that Kanna is a SSRi, but at £14 / 2g of 20x hash, and the dosage being 2g, its quite expensive.

Can anyone reccomend a cheap source of kanna, and what advice do you have for me in working with it as a healing
brew.

Thankyou everyone

I don't recommend mixing sceletium (kanna) with any MAOI inhibitors for long term use. There is a risk of seretonin syndrome developing with such combinations. I think some people here have reported combining the two and in lower doses and occasional doses this is probably fine but for long term I definitely think its risky.

Its best to take a small pinch (knife tip or so) of the powder. You can also smoke and take higher doses (around 100mg of powdered plant material) if you want more euphoric doses.

SWIM likes this plant quite a bit but only uses it seldomly to boost mood or just for fun. SWIM got a good chunk indirectly from a friend who knew some growers from south africa so no idea about sources.

Sorry, burnt. I didn't proof read my post every-which way. I wasn't interested in mixing Kanna with MAOi's, I've edited the post.

Sceletium is interesting. I like to keep it around but I go through phases of usage. I grow it also as it is totally legal. I agree with burnt. The best method for me is a tiny pinch but I 'quid' it. Put it between your gum and cheek and let it sit there. It's a subtle effect that grows on you with experience as you get used to what to look for. Once you're accustomed to it, you'll find it can be quite powerful. Smoking is pleasurable also, by itself (small bowl), or at the same time as 'quiding', or mixed with other herbs in a joint. It synergizes well with ganga as well (50/50).

Mesembrine, the active alkaloid, is peculiar. At certain dosages, I find myself energized physically and mentally (larger quid). At other dosages, I get mild mental stimulation and very relaxed physically (small quid). If I smoke a lot, I actually feel kind of dopey (mentally and physically depressed). I've never tried insuflating or making tea.

Definitely a plant ally worthy of exploration.

There is a lot of info available online. You can start here:
http://www.sceletium.org/

It's fairly widely available out there but I'll PM you a vendor I respect. Enjoy!

**EDIT: If you're purchasing, I suggest just getting the dried powdered plant instead of any concentrated 'hash'. Start with that first. It's much cheaper. That's all I work with. I haven't tried it, but you can do your own crude IPA extraction fairly easily if you want something more concentrated.
