I wanna save as much money as possible, i will be using the dmt handbook.. i was wondering if theres a way to clean the Saucepans/glass bowl/ wooden spoon/strainer..

also i have this huge bottle of muratic acid that has been closed for a couple years or so, and i opened it yesterday and saw a couple pieces of floating bark or dirt or something in it, some kind of debri.. is it still good to use?

Its still clear, other than the few small pieces of dirt or whatever managed to get in..

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated, peace Smile

To clean equipment I find the dishwasher or hand-washing works fine in most situations.

If you want to be more thorough or have stubborn stuff to deal with you can clean your equipment with Isopropyl Alcohol.

Hey Mods, I'm assuming you mean clean and save any residual spice from your stuff? In all honesty there really shouldn't be that much spice residue left on your equipment, but if there is, you can soak them (or at least the spiced up parts) in small amounts of solvent to dissolve and collect any residual. I wouldn't mess with anything wooden with solvents, just accept the loss of anything thats in there (although I wouldnt expect there to be much of anything). If you were just wondering about cleaning, yea you can clean with anything. As d*l*b said, dishwasher works great.

peace

Any stainless steel and glass will be fine. Things can soak into wood though, like solvents. I suggest you get a stainless steel spoon

it would obviously be SAFER to purchase new acid. one could only guess and assume what the contents of your contamination are.

Ehh, of time HCL diffuses from the water and escapes as a gas. You might be better off buying a new bottle if you need a STRONGLY acidic solution.

ok.. the dmt handbook says buy a small bottle, the stuff is pretty cheap right? can i get a small bottle at home depot?

Also do you have to use HDPE jugs, cause jugs shown in the tek look like a jug with just a regular screw lid.

And what is the cheapest fume make i can buy?

Thanks guys for coming back to help, much appreciated!!!!!!!
