Yes it was a disappointment ––––––
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

ghostman wrote:It's nice to see the characters, the catepillar, cheshire cat, the white rabbit, the march hare etc. It's just a shame that DisneyBurton inc. decided it was cool to rape and molest the story. They said this was not supposed to be the actual story but a second chapter of the story. Theres a small cutscene where they look back at alice when she was first there. I wont get into detail so as to not ruin it but if you want to see a decent rip of it there's one on pirate bay. I get a feeling they did this so they can come back with the first story later they have done that before with big movies like the hobbit that will be comming out in a while is the first lord of the rings. And yes I was stoned and thus propperly minded when I seen it and yes I was dissapointed. Wasnt nearly as good as I had hoped. Johnny Dep kinda sucked and I am a fan of his. I would go so far as to call it kinda lame. If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

Aw, saw this one yesterday, what a terrible movie! Tim Burton's aesthetics are great as usual but the plot is horrible and so is the acting. Only the Red Queen was cool. Johny Depp did some good films, not he's just awful rehashing the same style all over the place, booooooh! Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! SWIM watched it on 3g of cubies + 25g white caapi (40-50g being a medium-strong dose of caapi for SWIM) Even in that state SWIM was still able to pick apart the movie. The last 30 minutes DRAGGGED and even shroomy as he was he didn't even laugh at the hatter's dance. It did have some good parts but it was NOTHING compared to SWIM's second shroom trip ever (3.5g cubies) and second time ever watching Disney's Alice, which is still quite a far leap from the books anyway. Ya, good try Timmy B, there was clearly a lot of work put into it, but make sure the screenplay is bomb before putting in all those crazy visual effects.... All i can say is i loved the movie in 3D, I was left in complete awe of the world that was created. I loved the original Alice in Wonderland when i was a little girl, Alice in Wonderland (2010) really brought it to life again for me... Much Peace and Compassion

Unless they are really weak mushrooms. It was at home, SWIM's a digital pirate Anyway SWIM's a hard-head, tough still it was really intense for about an hour, Very nice OEVs but no hallucinations. Watching movies when on something is will not always give a good impression of the movie's quality.
I haven't seen alice yet, but i like most of burton's films. Mars attacks is still one of the funniest movies i've ever seen: the translation machine, the president's speeches, tom jones...first time i saw that movie i almost choked laughing.
And usually danny elfman, wich is a brilliant composer, writes the score for his movies and that is always a big bonus in my opinion.

I went in hoping i'd get to see alice try some fungi and a caterpillar smoke visual language so basically i left disappointed. Some parts where better than others...during depps dance at the end I just wanted to shoot myself though. i mean how anyone could make that film then say "yes thats hilarious, this is perfect!"- about that part is beyond me!
<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Took watching the movie straight 3 more times to figure out what actually happened in the movie versus my mind. Low-mid doses of LSD work much better for SWIM when she feels like going to the movies nowadays. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

The effects are fantastic and the acting wasnt bad it's just that the script was bad and the actors didnt have much to work with. Simply put you didnt get drawn into the story. Take Lord of The rings. Same quality effects, good actors but what make it so great is that you were drawn into the story so deeply. Alice didnt have that so people were dissapointed not because it was poorly made or poorly acted but because it was poorly written. If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.
