This has been around for a while - posted in the pinned chem threads at the nook in '05 by lorax.
http://www.thenook.org/f...ndex.php?showtopic=38634

So it was treid with dlimo - just playing around - and it seems to work perfectly and it looks like its a way to bypass washing at all.

A dlimonene pull off a standard cactus extraction was dried with anhydrous magnesium sulphate.
33% Hcl was added to acetone - then the acetone was dried with anhydrous magnesium sulphate.

The dlimonene was heated up a bit - and the acidic acetone was added.

Very quickly the solution started to rain the most beautifull glittery mescaline ever.

The pix really dont do it justice - but the mesc is as clean as if a mek re-x had been done on it and its as shiny as pearl.

very cool
Everything I post is made up fiction. SWIM represents a character who is not based in or on reality.

I’ve seen this done before with xylene.

Although it looks nice, I would not think it’s pure mescaline, but a mix of alkaloids. So what makes you think it's just mescaline? Did someone test it and find it's pure if done that way?

Also, you should mention that this technique needs to be done rapidly. If you wait too long, the HCl reacts with the acetone (that's what I heard, I don't know if that's really true though).

I said its pure mesc as it looks and feels identical to mescaline after a mek re-x has been done on it - and it has no smell.
All other non mesc alkaloids iv come into contact with were not nice pearly white powders that stayed dry as hcl salts.
i guess it can be re-x'd with water on a plate - non mesc alkaloids would show up in the xtal structure there.

I've seen this done before with xylene and HCl gas, and that actually didn't form pure mescaline, it was brown (it was done by another SWIM, not the SWIM I usually talk about), so I'm curious to know if it is pure mescaline from the d-limonene or not. If so, that would be excellent.

this was re-x'd with water -

by far the purest mesc iv seen.

a friend has had similar success with xylene - he said it was the purest mesc he's ever had.

Man...it's like a ghost town at the Nexus these last few days...

So what was the source cacti used?

that method seems like an awesome way to get around gassing, but I was under the impression that the magnesium sulfate reacted with the hcl?

Lots of people that I used to see who posted often like Kemist, and Jorkest, haven't posted since the BBB thing happened. Coincidence? Maybe. But I think the BBB raid scared the shit out of a lot of people. As the days pass, more people learn about it. I'll bet if the Traveler looks at the posts he'll see that in the last few weeks of this month there's been less and less long term members posting. It looks like that to me. I visit regularly, and all the extraction talk seems to have died down quite a bit.

I'll bet a lot of the US vendors that had accounts on this forum are no longer posting or visiting any forums out of fear they are being watched.

The Nexus had a large amount of vendors posting on it. The fact that the Nexus allows vendor specific talk while most other similar forums do not has attracted a lot of vendors to the Nexus.

One such vendor was the cactus person (we all know who he/she is) who kept getting banned from this site. I don't want to say any names, and don't ask me. I know he/she was a vendor. I know several others are vendors. Nearly all of the users that I know are US vendors have stopped posting on the Nexus. Some of them had multiple accounts from different PCs with different IP addresses, and so they appeared as more than 1 user. So I think a good number of the absent posts are vendor posts.

Don't get me wrong. Many of the vendors are honestly interested in DMT, that's why they sold mimosa, so having them on this forum wasn't a bad thing at all. But some used multiple accounts so that they could draw attention to their on-line stores periodically. I think most of us know who these users are. I hope they return and continue to support the forum.

People like Kemist and Jorkest I think were not vendors, and why they've stopped posting since the BBB thing, I'm not sure. It could be coincidence or they are paranoid because maybe they purchased items from BBB and think they might be future targets. I don't know. Maybe they're just taking a break from the Nexus for other reasons. But far too many long term members seem to be missing from the Nexus.

Be careful who you PM, and what you say to people you PM. Be careful about giving out US based sources. Right now I'm sure several agents in Kansas are on this forum, and several other similar forums, looking for more information to use against BBB in court. They likely already know from scanning the BBB computers which accounts on the Nexus are member accounts of BBB employees if any such accounts exist. This type of information will be used in the case against BBB as supporting evidence that BBB's mimosa was primarily being used as a source of DMT. If they can locate BBB member accounts on the Nexus and find posts talking about DMT extraction, this will be used against BBB in court.

This is great work Phlux, and thanks for posting.

SWIM once thought that HCl would react with MgSO4 to form H2SO4 and MgCl2 so that it wouldn't work. But he's wrong and magnesium sulfate does not react with HCl.

The only issue SWIM also has is the solubility of HCl in acetone. SWIM cannot find much info on that...SWIM would assume that it is too little but too little may already be enough for the salting of mescaline.

HCl is a noxious gas. Upon drying the acetone+33%HCl with MgSO4 some of HCl will be liberated. Did you Phlux notice anything bubbling out of the acetone upon MgSO4 addition? I believe that a safety disclaimer is necessary here just in case!

Another issue is as 69ron said is the reactivity of HCl with acetone. HCl via its low pH catalyses the condensation of acetone to form diacetone via the aldol condensation. It is unclear whether this actually happens but just something to take into consideration!

As for Nexus being quiet, yeah, I noticed this, hahaha. I believe that things go in cycles, soon things will recover.

That's really cool.

Does this mean it can be incorporated into Ron's limonene tek and eliminate the need to evaporate? That would be most useful.

Also I had realised Jork and Kemist not being about. It just aint the nexus without them Sad

Jorkest has left forever. Most likely he is not going to post again, at least not for a long time. This I know for a fact. He fused with the hyperspace reality and he can only be accessed by means dmt.

Kemist on the other may be just taking a break.

There haven't been many amazing discoveries lately like during the Non-Toxic Food Safe 69Ron Revolution Smile Also it's Spring and people are probably away from their computers more.

This tek is really interesting though. How does the HCL salt compare to the acetate? If it is as potent, it would seem to be preferable to those willing to take the extra effort since the acetate is said to be a hygroscopic pain in the ass.

Thats too bad, Jorkest was a great asset here. His swim contributed a lot.

Well, March break is over so maybe the posting will increase.

I'm not a long time member, but my excuse is that my dsl line had to be re-routed by the phone company and it took several days.

Pure mescaline, mmmm, I wonder if the precipitation would occur if the anhydrous acetone-HCl were added to an anhydrous solution of mescaline freebase in toluene?

Lotsa love to our absent members Smile
