This is a thread to exchange clothing ideas, online shops and stuff.
I'm looking to get some new clothes but it's hard to find suitable stuff.

Recycled clothes from thrift and consignment shops or homemade clothes. I prefer clothes that use a minimum of fabric and t-shirts with silk-screened or stenciled images--usually from bands or artists.

Here is a list of shops, a few have some pretty cool shirt designs.

I think http://www.merchline.com/fullbleed was where I got mine from.

Making your own clothes is very rewarding if you're willing to put some effort into it:

First thing you need to do is find/create a master pattern (sloper). There are several ways to go about this but the easiest is to simply find a pre-made pattern of pants or shirts or whatever you're looking for (Simplicity patterns for example are available at places like JoAnn fabrics. After comparing measurements shown on the back of the pattern with your own, cut out the pattern, use it on your fabric of choice, and sew together. It's most likely not going to fit perfectly so use a cheap muslin fabric first as you'll need to make adjustments to the pattern itself - once this is done you have a custom base pattern with which you can make just about anything. I suggest tracing it onto thicker paper if you plan to use it often.

Just like anything of course the more knowledge you have the easier it will be. Taking a sewing/pattern drafting class can help immensely. Also check out "Vogue Sewing: Revised and Updated", and "Patternmaking for Fashion Design" by Helen Joseph-Armstrong

I like to support local vendors, second hand stores and one line shops.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/Onanya has some very interesting clothing.
Perhaps I am asking the wrong questions but it doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

Ive been using charity shops/thrift stores for clothing for years. In-fact recently my parents and MRs gave me an intervention and took me shopping to buy me cloths.
It was painful and they didn't understand why i did not like all the high street cloths. T shirts with glitter skulls and fake diamonds, pre-ripped jeans and pink vest tops...

What in gods name.

Im happy wearing jeans and plain sweat tops. I dont get what all the fuss is about.
