With the STB (or any others requiring basification really .. ) is it a bad idea to use a large SS cooking pot? From experimentation with hydrogen before, I know certain metals will dissolve in basified water, now I'm unsure as to a) if SS will dissolve in basified water b) if different grades of it will dissolve and others won't and c) which grades they might be. Even if they do dissolve, will metal salts end up in the final product? If not then could it be possible to keep an eye just to make sure too much isn't dissolving?
It's just very difficult finding large glass containers to do larger extractions in ..
Also, with the mhrb cake extraction is it plausible to, when evaporating off the methanol, to use a large still to save the MeOH and avoid having poisonous fumes released into the atmosphere? This would also allow the MeOh to be reused.
With the cake extraction does this sound plausible?
MeOH/EtOH+NaOH+MHRB in large cooking pot
boil
filter
evaporate
add water
add/remove NP
With leftover cake, add acetone then evaporate to extract jungle spices
Add acidic water to NP
remove NP
basify water
add/remove NP
freeze and watch the snowstorm

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Also, with the cake method does anyone see any problems in using acetone instead of EtOH/MeOH? MeOH sounds really toxic and EtOH sounds hard as fuck to get without some sorta denatonium benzoate etc ..
