Hello,

SWIM decided to do a DMT extraction from MHRB.He used the instructions here: https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Lazyman's_tek, in the section Here is a more detailed explanation of the extraction method using a half kilo of root bark"

Since the procedure was for 500g of MHRB and he had 100g of MHRB powder, he adjusted the quantity according to its mhrb, namely 40g NaOH, 500 ml of tap water and later, 250ml of naphtha.

After following all the instructions and adding the naphtha, there was only a 5mm thick layer in a small container of solvent, clearly not enough if SWIM base himself on that thread (http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://forums.mycotopia.net/attachments/botanicals-cactus-misc-entheogens-psychedelics/133556d1247257322-first-dmt-extraction-stb-w-pics-picture-207.jpg&imgrefurl=http://forums.mycotopia.net/botanicals-cactus-misc-entheogens-psychedelics/55697-first-dmt-extraction-stb-w-pics.html&usg=__mruKixSHE3RUnx2H6rPXSeMuzZM=&h=340&w=835&sz=63&hl=fr&start=8&sig2=d5iE1MEP66rGh3MyoqgdMg&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=XbduQPgn6w0h3M:&tbnh=59&tbnw=144&prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddmt%2Bsolvent%2Bseparation%26um%3D1%26hl%3Dfr%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1C1GGLS_frCA317CA317%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=406YS7a1EtuFlgeR_IShDQ).

SWIM guesses that the problem is with the quantities used. Does anybody of you could tell SWIM if his quantities and results are right ? If not, how to fix our problem. SWIM has kept everything as his, the lye and the water and mhbr on one side, and on the other side, the solvent.

SWIM guess is that only the first extraction is messed up and the problem could be fixed for the second extraction.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

H.

If im reading it right, I would say you just need to add more naphtha and then aggitate. Im also a amateur soo dont put my head on the stone for that aha. The solvent and the basified solutiona re supposed to be seperate. Ideally you jsut need a little more solvent and then some aggitation and then you suck the solvent off the top and away you go.

Lots of peeps have problems with lazyman's tek. If you are using powdered bark, why not use noman's tek?

Needs more lye and water 100g lye for a 100g of bark and 1500 ml of water. Some say if powdered us alittle more lye and water but i have never found this to be a problem.

Here's an update;

I followed the advice given to me and added 1000ml water, and 60g lye. Then I continued on with the extraction and did 5 extraction cycle. I evaporated the naptha and got dark blue sticky crap. It smelled like dangerous chemicals. It was a anti-rust chemical from the Colemans fuel.

So I checked out this thread : https://www.dmt-nexus.me....aspx?g=posts&t=5572

and am now doing a freeze precipitation (but I dissolve the blue stuff in Ronsonol before). After 3 days in the freezer theres a big layer of pale blue liquid (probably Ronsonol + blue crap) and a small white layer floating on top of it (which I hope is pure DMT).

Ill try pouring the white layer into another container and let it dry. Hope this works out.

I AM.

I dont think ure using enough lye--ratio should be at least 1 part bark:1 part lye:12 parts h20:1 part naphtha..works for my friend at least doing lazymans with freeze precip. get yourself some vm+p naphtha from ace hardware --colemans is NOT ok to use.
FYI- Anything I post here is just stuff made up by my crazy brother who lives in my closet. I feed him jellybeans.

HEAT NAPTHA!!! 50x more eficient. put a jar of naptha in boiling water, but not over a stove. bring water to a boil, take off stove then put naptha, which is in a seperate container itself, into the hot water.
