Actually it looks very interesting..as a person who has fallen in love with both rave/psy trance culture and ayahuasca I find the idea of guided ayahuasca ceremonies with shipibo curranderos combined with psy trance facinating.
Ayahuasca is legal in peru and the people that spend time cultivating and harvesting vine shoud be compensated..I dont really see much of a problem with asking for money for the brew in this context since it is legal and not supporting any sort of underground market, as long as the price is reasonable..for all we know that money might just be going back to the shipibo villages. I dont think they should just give away all their ayahuasca at an event like this without being compensated something..this seems diff from just a normal ceremony since the groups i would suspect would be quite large..you pay for ceremonies either way..you go ti iquitos, you pay, you go to huatla for mushrooms..you pay.
They are having group ceremonies with curranderos there it seems..so I wonder if they are only selling the brew durring the time of those ceremonies? seems like they would be rather large group ceremonies so again it makes sense that these people cant afford to just freely give out all that ayahuasca.
I wish I was in peru so I could go and see how something like this would play out..could go either way I guess..
Long live the unwoke.
