It does contain more alkaloids, but the price difference is what will make it worth it or not. I usually go for inner bark, but have occasionally gotten plain ol' root bark. Not a huge difference. Remember the vendors are businesspeople. They are masters of marketing. Not everything they say is 100% true. The Spice extends life

I just purchased and extracted one KG. last week. Yeild,IMO, was very good, with less orange gunk. I will purchase it again ($20.00/Kg. more than regular) -- Captu4ik.

Definetly! Inner bark has way more alkaloids, reaching 1.5 to 2%

I have only noticed a small difference between inner root bark and complete root bark. The vendor I use doesn't really leave that much outer root bark on...so it really doesn't make that much of a difference. The Spice extends life
