You guys should see the tosh.0 weed vs salvia race. Tommy chong takes a bong hit and some gimp takes the salvia and they have to run through a mini obstacle course. Its priceless seeing the salvia guy take a few steps, try to crawl, then just lie down on his back with a huuuge grin on his face.

I find this video disgusting. Salvia is not a dysphoric and confusing experience for everybody. Some of the deepest and most beautiful journeys I've ever had have been on Salvia.

This video highlights exactly the reasons salvia is getting criminalized across the US. This is the kind of reckless use that we must stop people from associating with entheogens. This exposure benefits no one and threatens our civil liberties through creating needless fear about these substances amongst the general population.

Why is salvia ridiculous and revolting to you? beside the fact that it can be "dysphoric" and intense

awe,
he looks so uncomfortable in that tight black shirt.
You can see he wants to be comfortable, so he seeks out the task,
when he really should've just fallen onto a bean bag chair and meditated.

This kind of footage does no good...sure it makes us laugh...but that is not the essence of salvia...

What's the challenge, here?
He was obviously defeated by the plant spirit!

don't get me wrong
I have a kind of liking for watching peoples egos get destroyed by powerful psychedelics.
I find it beautifully hilarious.
And I've been obliterated by taking a hit like he took....

Another part of me does get pissed off with peoples blatant lack of respect and sloppy administration algorithms...
fuckin' polarities...

videos are never going to cut it until we can get visual data from the CNS.

Until then.......

again: this statement is silly.

scientists for example are very interested in salvinorins and kor receptors.
may be even more as in dmt and the 5ht2a receptor.
i suggest to read this short introduction.
http://photos.imageevent...inor/Munro2006thesis.pdf
(click at the bookmarked chapter: "bioassays"....very interesting!)

and scientists are not the only ones who are interested.
Wink

even artists and philosophers may be inspired by the "subjective effect" of salvia on the consciousness...perhaps it depends on the individual and the specific structure of the cns whether salvia has an effect on the consumer or not. further scientific investigation is needed....

THIS is salvia (imho...but not the silly kindergarten clip you posted, sorry....):

The moaning comes from upstairs
I hear them, as if
Upon the threshold of awakening
Ebony tides sweep me away again
Not waving, but drowning
Skyward glance through eyes sinking beneath the surface
Spiraling through indistinct memories
Meanings lost in the primal depths
A caress of the void: the scream falls still

Reality null - The landscape dissolves
Abysmal galleries of depthless gray
Realm of decaying logic

The moaning has turned to screams
Whilst somewhere beyond, a voice drones the mad narrative
Of souls astray - reliving their mortal pains
Silhouettes writhing in murky air
Until a familiar voice whispered into my ear
One word was all that was spoken
Shattering the mirror of this fleeting oblivion
Into a thousand shards of broken light

scientists are also interested in sigmas, as they are poorly understood..
so what's your point?

so you're saying DMT is just bleh, because it's both

get this straight: DMT > salvia
and it's not even close. 9.5 out of 10 would agree (and that .5 is only because the person hasn't experienced dmt but respects what he's read/heard, and slightly favors salvia)

if dmt is bleh, salvia is just meh

yea, i had a long section of a pharma trip where i kept looping through this. Both the entities that were with me and I kept laughing at the sheer absurdity of Outlaw Plants. I tried to grow salvia last year, but the guy who was sending me clones kept packaging them poorly and unfortunately, although I came close, I was never able to nurse any back to health. Now the state i'm in for school has made salvia illegal, so i wont order it for fear that I'll get authorities called on me to make an example of me for salvia cultivation and will instead come away with all the other stuff I've got.
